Description and Requirements

Lenovo is seeking an experienced Modern Endpoint Management Solution Architect who will be responsible for looking at customers' end-to-end Imaging and Deployment processes to optimize how customers do business. This includes having deep-dive technical conversations with customers specific to automated hardware deployments, factory offerings, endpoint management and professional Managed Services. Advanced understanding of automated deployment services and provisioning processes, utilizing Modern Endpoint Management solutions will be critical in being successful in this role. This role requires an individual who has a customer-centric mindset, is focused on IT automation and efficiencies, and is a creative problem solver in the world of Automation, Endpoint Management and Managed Services.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Technical presales support by acting in a consultancy capacity, assist the Sales Teams' and Account Managers in qualifying and scoping services opportunities, particularly Professional Services
  • Consult with prospects and clients to gain a thorough understanding of their issues and objectives with regard to Professional Services and prepare services proposals with the Sales Teams
  • Strong understanding and experience in communicating the benefits and business outcomes of Modern Endpoint Management solutions, utilizing products such as SCCM, Autopilot, Intune, Google Chrome Enterprise, and Windows Deployment Services
  • Experience in developing with client’s persona driven methodologies, zero-touch end user “self” hardware installations, image creation and management, including application remediation, packaging, and application distribution
  • Hosting Endpoint Management and hardware deployment strategy Whiteboards Sessions with customers to uncover their current pain points, challenges, future vision and lay out a view of the customers technical end-to-end IT processes surrounding their endpoint devices
  • Develop and Create Process Workflows of customer’s ‘current state’ and ‘future state’ Deployment / Refresh methods and calculate ROI for customers
  • Detailed understanding and experience in solutioning Factory Integration Services including deep technical knowledge – Factory Image Load, Image Verification, Image Creation, Smart Image, First Boot Services, Custom BIOS, Asset Tags, BIOS Updates and second stage custom “configuration/depot” type services
  • Thoroughly understand and have experience in solutioning and costing Automated Hardware Deployments and Endpoint Management Cloud Solutions. Managed Deployment programs and Asset Management knowledge are also preferred
  • Significant experience creating compelling presentations and customer-facing proposals documents incorporating specific recommendations and return-on-investment by implementing Lenovo’s automated Deployment /Refresh solutions utilizing Modern Endpoint Management
  • Participating in Customer Proposal ‘read out’ sessions to communicate Endpoint Management and Automated Deployment solutions 
  • Experience in Developing and Packaging Custom Managed Services solutions alongside partners for areas such as White glove services, Staff Augmentation, Retail solutions, Smart Conference room support, DaaS, Service Desk, Onsite HW & SW Break-fix and IMAC services, etc. this includes costing and developing into a customer-facing documents 
  • Work internally to collaborate with services sales and extended account teams to develop and present services offered to the customer 
  • Create all Statement of Work agreements and documentation (between Lenovo-Customer and Lenovo-Service Partner where applicable) 
  • Redline and legal reviews of documentation, working directly with customers and extended Lenovo teams (including Lenovo Legal)
  • Project Management and Partner collaboration through pre-and post-sales as solutions move through the sales cycle

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of IT services experience focused on IT end point devices (PCs/Laptops/Mobile devices)
  • 5+ years of technical pre-sales and solutioning experience in Automated Deployment and Modern Endpoint Management solutions that includes requirement gathering, solution and cost development, Contract Management: Proposal/SOW’s, Business Development, Professional Services, Project Management, and related IT Services operations experience
  • Industry knowledge and experience with Cloud Services (Adoption, Security & Orchestration), Remote Work, Mobility & IoT, Cloud Computing and Collaboration are desirable
  • Technical Certifications from Microsoft, Virtualization tools, Client management tools and ITIL examples: MS Azure, MS 365, AWS Cloud, VMware & Citrix will be an advantage
  • Proven success record in designing and selling Automated Deployment and Modern Endpoint Management solutions
  • Experience in developing Custom Managed Services and Mobility solutions
  • Demonstrate desire and aptitude to continue learning new Automation and Endpoint management technologies as they become available
  • Strategic mindset and sound business acumen are required, along with effective decision making, contract negotiation and partner management skills
  • Solid prioritization skills, attention to detail, commitment to deadlines
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, presentation skills, with proven ability to communicate effectively across various levels of the business to accomplish common goals 
  • Extensive experience using MS Office tools (Microsoft Word, Project, Visio, PowerPoint, Excel) 
  • Proven ability to operate with a high level of professionalism, agility and able to work across all levels of the organization with a teaming attitude
  • Experience working in a customer-facing environment
  • Bachelor’s degree, MBA or equivalent experience required
