We are looking for PR superstar who challenges the ordinary, seeks to innovate in learning, and can advance brand storytelling through creative public relations campaigns, executive interviews, thought leadership, and feature stories.

The Lenovo communications and events team creates innovative brand stories, builds and enhances corporate reputation and brand equity, and engages North America stakeholders such as media, consumers, ITDMs, analysts and investors, regulators, and policymakers. 

The team focuses on engagement, inspiration and connection to accelerate the growth of Lenovo. The North America PR team ignites conversations, envisions the possibilities, influences public perception, and delivers new levels of creative and strategic thinking to advance the brand reputation in the United States and Canada.

We are looking for a Sr. Public Relations Specialist to join the North America Communications Team who can help develop the PR strategy and execute supporting tactics to enhance the reputation of Lenovo, its leading products, and its executives as thought leaders in tech innovation across North America.

The role will report directly to the Sr. Communications Manager and is an ideal position for someone with PR agency background with excellent written and oral communications skills, ensuring a full end-to-end understanding of integrated communications as well as media and stakeholder relations. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • This position will support multiple strategic priorities: North America press events, brand storytelling, content creation, and thought leadership across consumer and commercial businesses
  • Co-manage the relationship with PR agencies to develop earned media pitch strategies, coordinate, and staff executive interviews with press
  • Cultivate relationships with national and regional media partners
  • Advise NA President and other key business leaders how to effectively communicate with the media
  • Identify and secure speaking opportunities for NA leadership team
  • Assist with management of PR budget and associated operational activities
  • Align with Worldwide Comms Team to ensure consistent storytelling across geographies and localize global stories for the North America market
  • Collaborate with social media, internal comms, and community engagement colleagues to ensure consistency and alignment in storytelling
  • Work with marketing managers to build brand awareness and develop customer-centric stories around the products and verticals they support
  • Regularly track performance against quarterly and annual KPIs

Required Skills:

  • The candidate for this role should be an excellent writer; project manager and have an eye and attention for detail. A self-starter attitude is essential.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Ability to manage agencies and multiple stakeholders
  • Strong time and project management skills - with the ability to handle multiple priorities
  • Ability to prioritize and plan effectively meeting deadlines

Minimum Requirements:

  • BA degree ideally in journalism, communications, English, or media studies. 
  • Minimum of 5 years work experience gained within the PR field. Prior agency experience working in/with the technology industry is required.
  • Strong writing skills - please provide 3 of your best writing samples when applying 

Preferred Requirements: 

  • Experience supporting PR for C-suite level executives/clients
