Description and Requirements

*Key Objective of position:

The Product Compliance manager is responsible for organizing and managing product compliance with Korea certificate regulation (KC EMC standard, KC safety standard, Korea eStandby) of new and existing products. 

This individual works with internal departments as well as external ODM vendors to ensure that we are successful in product certificate compliance for timely delivery of goods. 

This will own the direct relationship with government institute (RRA, KATS, KEITI, KEMCO, ,KTR, KTC, KTL and ETC), also with our third-party testing lab.

The Product Compliance manager is also responsible for environmental compliance.  This will own the direct relationship with KECO (Korea Environment corporation).  This individual works to ensure that we follow Korea environment law and regulation with handling the environment allotment.

*Day to day task

  • Get new product’s all certificates on time.
  • Planning
  • Research and consult to the product development team on applicable regulations/requirements.
  • Organize product analysis and testing to meet regulations/requirements.
  • Develop & maintain testing specification by product and range.
  • Conduct periodic product analysis and work with team to revise as needed.
  • Notify new regulation & updated regulation to development team.
  • Assemble and maintain technical files and records as required by regulatory agencies.
  • Maintain and keep updated compliance certificates.
  • Work with our logistics team & Korea Customs to follow up on importing MP products, sending of samples, testing turnaround times to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Work directly with ODM vendors for debugging H/W. 
  • Effectively communicate updates, results and exceptions in timely manner to avoid delays in importing process.
  • Perform other duties as requested.

*Responsibilities

  • Korea regulation part
  • Responsible for regulatory planning for new product introductions and product changes and assist in maintaining regulatory compliance
  • Plan, generate, and coordinate regulatory submissions for product/solution licensing
  • Handle for KC EMC, KC safety, e-Standby and Q-mark
  • Factory audit for Q-mark
  • Understanding Korea market trend and related regulations
  • Manage product label and user manual
  • Respond to RRA post market surveillance requests in a timely and professional manner
  • Manage National Environmental product submissions to ensure timely and complete reporting (EPR, ECOAS, Plastic waste, Packaging recycle, Battery, RoHS)
  • Manage new Korea policy and train to global teams
  • Support service part and customs clearance
  • MWDC (초기불량 조사 및 판정)
  • Provide KC information to Korea customs
  • Responsible for Korea customs physical audit
