Description and Requirements



Staff Researcher



Apply User Centered Design principles and contemporary design practices to assess, form requirements, and develop new product designs that optimize user experience for Lenovo products. Lead activities in the product process by applying ergonomic and usability design principles toward use case studies, and overall smart device design. Work collaboratively with cross-functional project team members and business peers on user experience. Conduct usability studies of prototype and existing designs during various phases of concept and product development. Translate study results into actionable design recommendations and product requirements. Understand target user’s scenario, needs, behavior and other motivating factors and translate them into concepts for experiences. Plan and execute iterative user research and analysis projects including but not limited to task analysis, competitive assessments, benchmarking, customer interviews, concept testing, usability testing, and heuristic evaluations.


Requirements:

Master’s Degree

2 or more months of relevant experience

User-Centered design principles; Planning and execution of interactive User Research and Usability Studies; Data Analysis; Translation of user scenarios, needs, and behavior to product experiences; Human-computer interaction design.
