Description and Requirements

Position Description:

  • Key contact in the strategic planning and driving of the continuous improvement and transformation in SSG Finance.
  • Work collaboratively with SSG Leadership, corp. M&A and broader Finance team to drive change including new business incubation, corporate restructuring (i.e., M&A and spin-off due diligence and supports) and decision supports on internal investment cases, ect.
  • Interacts with leadership team, which involves driving or influencing on significant matters.

Strategic Finance and Transformation Projects (~50%)

  • Acting as the “Chief of Staff” to SSG Finance team to assist CFO and controller on the long-term organization development plans, including the key strategic process changes, org efficiency improvement, BMS design and coordination, etc. 
  • Given the org development, the role is open for Finance Partner role for new business development, including to
    • Facilitate financial discussions between functional leaders (i.e., sales, marketing and operations) and CFO/controllers, on the key business enablement decision related to GTM, product development, supply chain, services, etc.  
    • Provide financial leadership with analyses for business growth decision
    • Proactively identify potential challenges/opportunities that may result in financial consequences and assists in developing solution. 

Investment Decision Support (~50%)

  • Conduct rigorous market and financial analysis including market assessment, business case, synergies, build vs. buy modeling, ROI etc. to provide detailed guidance and scenarios into potential acquisitions and other strategic opportunities, and provide input into deal valuations as well as monitor and report the post-investment development.
  • Conduct diligences and pressure test internally and externally to collect market feedback and refine potential plays or potential targets.
  • Process re-engineering by optimizing end-to-end finance processes in SSG Finance Operations, Planning, Budgeting and Forecasting, Costing or Closing & Consolidation; Driving BMS, following up actions, quarterly disclosures process etc.
  • Ad-hoc projects management both for short-term and long-term project assignment, esp. for the M&A deal closure and integration

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelors or Master’s degree in Accounting & Finance or related subjects from prestigious colleges
  • Above 5 years of experience on corp. M&A experience or corp. strategy/consulting experience
  • CPA, CMA or CFA equivalent is plus
  • Experience on Implementing global finance project and operations plus
  • Advanced data analysis, strategic thinking, system thinking capability
  • Able to deliver good results in a fast paced, demanding environment
  • Self-motivated and be able to motivate team;
