Description and Requirements

The Lenovo SMB Marketing organization is looking for an experienced Strategy & Planning Manager to join our global team. This position is one part business strategist, one part marketing strategist. We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is skilled at leading complex cross-functional initiatives with diverse stakeholders and is a sharp strategic thinker.

The Strategy & Planning team is responsible for enabling successful brand and campaign outcomes by driving strategic planning, transformational initiatives, and operational efficiency for the Lenovo SMB Marketing organization. You will need a thorough understanding of marketing strategy and business management principles in order to be successful in this role.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct regular SMB landscape assessments & analyses, determining where we have unique opportunities or threats to address in order to drive business growth objectives
  • Develop winning strategies to drive market competitiveness, lead campaign team briefings, and collaborate across teams to build effective marketing plans
  • Drive a coordinated marketing planning process, ensuring that global and local SMB marketing teams deliver plans that meet the organization's strategic and commercial objectives
  • Identify opportunities to build and improve on strategic marketing, planning, and operations processes
  • Work with cross-functional partners including Operations, Media, and Insights teams to enable informed business decisions such as program and market prioritization and budget allocation
  • Maintain the SMB target audience framework, value proposition, and messaging strategy, ensuring all produced content clearly aligns
  • Monitor, measure, and analyze marketing performance and manage optimization strategies with key stakeholders

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience in Marketing or relevant field
  • 8+ years of strategic planning and/or B2B Marketing experience for a hardware and/or technology company
  • Demonstrated ability to tell a clear story leveraging insights
  • Proficiency in global communication standards
Preferred:
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to deal with both internal and external customers
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills with ability to operate on a wide range of topics and projects at one time
  • Strong analytical and quantitative capability to determine program effectiveness and impact
  • Excellent problem-solving skills; an ability to see a problem from various angles, identify root causes, and propose data-informed solutions
  • Ability to think strategically, but also have exceptional attention to detail
