Description and Requirements
We are seeking a driven and experienced Supply Chain Manager (SCM) to serve as the critical connecting link between our Global Supply Chain (GSC) Team (Commodity Management, Cost, Manufacturing, and Quality) and the Offering Development Teams (ODT). In this end-to-end focal role, you will act as the SCM, defining supply chain designs that meet targets for procurement, material availability, quality, and manufacturability. You will govern the lifecycle from New Product Introductions (NPI) kick-off through to End of Life (EOL), driving the "One Lenovo" strategy, mitigating risk, and ensuring synergy across multiple business segments to support robust NPI and sustaining executions.
Key Responsibilities
End-to-End Supply Chain Governance: Manage the full lifecycle of supply chain activities from NPI kick-off, sourcing strategy, and cost management through to manufacturing enablement and product EOL.
Sourcing Strategy & Execution: Develop and execute NPI sourcing plans, representing GSC in the ODT. Participate in sourcing decision-making and interlock with Global Commodity Management (GCM) on cost, sourcing, and supply management strategies.
Risk Management: Proactively identify and mitigate risks within the GSC area. Responsible for managing checkpoint reviews to ensure compliance and readiness.
Manufacturing & Delivery: Oversee NPI production readiness at worldwide manufacturing sites to ensure Time-to-Market targets are met. Ensure designs meet manufacturability, technology, and Design for Excellence (DfX) targets.
Cross-Functional Leadership: Facilitate seamless communication between GSC, Development, and other internal stakeholders. Act as the integrator of supply chain resources to accommodate growing multi-segment diversity.
Complex Problem Solving: Execute in-depth analysis and apply the launch process to identify and resolve issues. Optimize processes and costs to deliver on business requirements.
Special Projects: Assist the GSC organization with special assignments and strategic initiatives as required.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, specifically within the Server industry.
Preferred Qualifications
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is highly preferred.
- Strong self-motivator with exceptional project management and communication skills. Ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive decision-making in a fast-paced environment.
