Description and Requirements

The Team Lead will manage a team of North America Lead Development Representatives responsible for handling outbound lead qualification from marketing activities driven by IDG marketing teams. The ideal person should be experienced as a Team Lead, knowing how to manage a team and provide effective guidance based on his/her experience with driven outbound telemarketing to prequalify leads. The Team Lead will be responsible for supervising, reporting performance, and motivating team members daily. As a Team Lead, you will be the contact point for all team members, so your communication skills should be excellent. You should also be able to act proactively to ensure smooth team operations and effective collaboration. You should lead by setting a good example and engaging the team to achieve goals. The Team Lead must have strong stakeholder management skills. Understands how matrixed organizations work and can build a strong collaboration with sales, specifically with our team of Business Development Team. Once hired, the Team Lead will be tasked with hiring the people to form the newly established Lead Development Representative function.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Create an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture

  • Oversee the day-to-day workings of the team; track and report on results and interlock with the sales organization as well as the individual marketing leaders for whom the team is driving campaigns

  • Work with sales and marketing teams to ensure timely follow-up on leads passed on to them from the team of Development Reps.

  • Collaboratively work with marketing leaders to support their lead generation efforts

  • Provide consistent, concise, accurate internal and external communications to key stakeholders, senior leadership Teams

  • Provide consistent, concise, accurate, and timely weekly/monthly lead gen activity reports

  • Reach planned KPIs, set clear team goals, delegate tasks, and set deadlines

  • Monitor team performance and report on metrics

  • Discover training needs and provide coaching and ensure to involve internal Lenovo Subject Matter Experts in arranging specific product and solutions training of the Lead Development Reps

  • Lead by example & Motivate team members


Basic Requirements:         

  • 3+ years of proven work experience as a Team Leader or supervisor of a Telemarketing, Telesales, or Lead Generation Team

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong Organizational, Planning, and Operational skills


Preferred Requirements:
  • Decision-making skills

  • High Level of interpersonal skills and strong negotiation skills

  • The ability to be a “playing coach” and cover some of the lead gen work him-/herself, to ensure that there is an understanding of the day-to-day challenges and be a fall-back resource in bottleneck situations

  • Desire to grow personally and professionally - a love for learning

  • General knowledge of the Lenovo Hardware Portfolio (this is not a requirement but will undoubtedly add points)

  • Computer-based program usage (MS Office, Dynamics)

  • A degree in Management or training in team leading is a plus
