Position Description:
Lenovo’s Consumer Notebook Design Group seeking a qualified Technical Project Manager (TPM) whose primary mission is to lead project team and common pool resources, development Consumer NB product and ensure the successful of delivery. Strong communication skill to talk with cross-functional, cross-geography project teams to plan project schedule, management the development risk, execute and deliver the Consumer NB products on time is one of major task of this role.

Responsibilities:

TPM Related

  1. Understand and manage project scope to deliver within the time / cost restraint.
  2. Take consumer notebook product industry feature research, include the competitor’s feature analyses and key feature industry roadmap study;
  3. Develop and execute product feature landing, and guidance the performance design from user view.
  4. Host regular interlock meeting with internal and external on project status discussion (Schedule, feature design, function target…).
  5. Participate engineering/ manufacture/ quality meeting to monitor design related issues, and organize team to resolve critical issues, or mitigation plan of any uncertainties.
  6. Join discussion with marketing/ stakeholders on the urgent request or any critical issues that is gating the shipments.
  7. Coordinate R&D, Marketing PM, manufacture on design changes or EC implementation review which might impact material readiness and feature landing.
  8. NPI status tracking on technical interlock, new design discussion on product features.
  9. Collaborating and communicating between ODM and Lenovo engineers/ validation team to avoid communication gap or misunderstanding.
  10. Performs regular Lessons Learned with the team to ensure project and process improvements are captured from Kick Off to Launch.

Position Requirements:

  1. Technical background (major in notebook products design) is preferred.
  2. Industrial experience in Notebook products management is preferred.
