Description and Requirements

We are seeking an experienced Governance and Pricing Assurance Manager to support Lenovo’s worldwide “Infrastructure as a Service” (“IaaS”) business to develop and manage our commercial governance framework from initial customer engagement to contract signature and beyond.

The successful candidate will be a pro-active, pragmatic and commercially astute individual with extensive experience in developing and managing commercial governance processes. The objective is to refine and develop the existing governance process to ensure that opportunities are adequately scrutinized, qualified and quality checked as they progress through the deal lifecycle in order to minimize risk and maximize profitability.

Responsibilities

  • Governance Process : Working with Sales, Bid, Contract, Legal, Finance, Enterprise/Solution Architects and Delivery teams to document, refine, and develop the IaaS commercial deal governance processes to ensure that all relevant stakeholders are identified and engaged in a timely manner.
  • Management : Organize and manage the day to day operation of all relevant IaaS governance processes and meeting; manage continual process improvement. Ensure all deals are subject to the appropriate governance and approval processes. Ensure that all relevant approvals are obtained in a timely manner.  Maintain a global database of stakeholders along with approval thresholds and delegations.
  • Communication : Ensure clear, consistent and timely communication with all relevant stakeholders on the commercial deal governance including but not limited to meetings, processes, entry and exit criteria, outcomes, and reporting.
  • Record and track deal status and governance decisions for audit purposes and maintain a repository that provides relevant metrics and reporting that ties directly to the Sales Pipeline.
  • Continuous improvement : Ability to identify compliance, process and program gaps and work with senior team members to enable changes required. Provide continuous improvement of the deal governance process to ensure whilst rigorous and robust, and risk is minimized, the process is streamlined, efficient and impact on sales velocity is minimized.

Basic Requirements

  • At least 4-6 years of experience in a commercial deal governance role in a large technical, multi-national business unit environment and working across multiple time zones and cultures.
  • Experience in governance process design, implementation, day to day operation and management of commercial deal governance processes
  • Experience in using Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and associated tools, including Visio and Teams

  • Commercial awareness with ability to understand the sales team’s perspective and balance commercial, contractual and legal risk
  • High degree of professional ethics, integrity and gravitas
  • First class interpersonal and communication skills with the confidence to communicate with senior stakeholders
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Focused individual with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, ambiguous and ever changing environment
  • Ability to anticipate, mitigate, minimize and proactively manage risk
  • Experience of consumption based “as a service” commercial models and equipment leasing/funding.
