Description and Requirements

We are seeking a UX Researcher to join the Lenovo UX Center of Excellence to deliver the best possible digital experience for Lenovo IT and business by researching user behavior and preference. You will be working closely with our team of designers, prototypers, developers, and project managers to define, build, and iterate design solutions for enterprise end-users, setting the bar for thoughtful, data-driven design experiences.


Responsibilities

  • Host various UX research activities, which include collaborating with designers and stakeholders to understand research needs, defining research questions, selecting appropriate methods, developing research objects, budgets and timelines and recruiting participants.
  • Conducting design research studies and analyzing the quantitative and qualitative data collected. Transforming your findings into easily understandable insights and visualizations and presenting your findings to designers, developers, and other stakeholders.
  • Edit and publish research-related knowledge to set UX research standards that work in pair with our design system.
  • Use user data to improve design guidelines across multiple platforms, including mixed reality, web, and mobile.
  • Work effectively with small, interdisciplinary teams, including interaction designers, engineers, and product managers.


Basic Requirements

  • BA/BS in Psychology/HCI/Interaction Design or a related subject.
  • 2 years’ experience in relevant professional and creative experiences.


Preferred Requirements

  • Well-rounded understanding of UX research and technology with a focus on the future of computing and experience platforms.
  • A stellar portfolio that demonstrates breadth of cross-platform work, a strong research process and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven experience working on digital experiences that exist in the real world (products that are shipped).
  • Experience with designing/managing design systems (international rollout is a bonus).
  • Proficiency in user testing and research tools like Optimal Workshop, UserTesting.com, Qualtrics, Tableau, MS Excel….
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.


Not Essential but Considered a Plus

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English and Chinese.
  • Experience building strong relationships and collaborating across large organizations
