Description and Requirements

Lenovo is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Marketing Manager to support Global Accounts’ Telco vertical segment. The Vertical Marketing Manager will serve as the primary marketing liaison with the GA Telecommunications customers’ marketing teams and will represent customer requirements when interlocking with Geo Marketing, Product/Business Group Marketing, WW Marketing, Web and Training. The Vertical Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing and executing the joint strategy and quarterly marketing plans for Lenovo Telco’s B2B and B2C solutions.


* Collaborate with Product and Solution Managers to develop "plug and play" messaging and marketing enablement for Telco and Geo adoption
* Create supporting marketing materials to help raise awareness of a joint Telco-Lenovo offerings portfolio
* Align Telco marketing strategy with GEO execution, supporting Global Accounts’ business KPIs and revenue targets
* Lead engagement with Telco marketing agencies and coordinate development/ delivery of all marketing tactics
* Develop and manage the quarterly marketing budget, including contributed funding through relevant alliance partners
* Support Lenovo presence at key industry trade shows and Lenovo-led events
* Work jointly with the Lenovo training team to maximize sales knowledge of messaging, tools, and solutions
* Establish processes to gain 360 feedback from internal stakeholders, sales and customers

Position Requirements:

* Bachelor’s Degree (Computer Science, Engineering or Marketing preferred)
* 5-7 years of Product Marketing or Marketing Management experience in an IT-related industry
* Understanding of the Telco industry, including sales through retail and with channel partners
* Strong organization and proven project management skills with the ability to think strategically but work tactically in a dynamic environment
* Self-Starter with strong work ethic and ability to quickly grasp technical concepts
* Strong leadership, teamwork, and interpersonal skills and the ability to deal with both internal and external customers
* Exceptional writing skills with the ability to communicate technologies as customer value
* Proficient in all Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
* Ability to operate on a wide range of topics and projects at one time
* Comfortable working in start-up type environment
