WW Device as a Service Portfolio Manager

Position Description:

The Device as a Service (DaaS) team is hiring a Portfolio Manager to help grow business revenues and expand our DaaS offerings to sell “Everything as a Service”.  The Portfolio Manager will be charged with taking existing Lenovo products and solutions and converting them into “as a Service” offerings. They will be the technical expert on all DaaS offerings and work cross-functionally to design, build and deliver a broad as-a-Service portfolio that resonates with customers and delivers the outcomes they are seeking to achieve.

Position Requirements:

  • Specify market requirements for future offerings by conducting market research supported by on-going interaction with extended sales and marketing teams as well as customers
  • Product Life Cycle (PLC) Management: Manage the entire product life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities for the assigned service product lines as well the end-to-end DaaS portfolio
  • Ownership of the E2E product management process, including participation in the WW Services PIDT phase gates from concept to launch.
  • Conduct competitive analysis to determine portfolio strategy and key product features that will be included in the DaaS offerings
  • Serve as the voice of the customer in decisions made regarding future offerings
  • Work with geo sales and marketing to define initiatives to create demand within key market verticals and horizontal markets including print media, trade shows, direct marketing, web marketing, and product training
  • Provide input to marketing staff to ensure they are able to generate high quality sales aids such as product guides, press releases and web content
  • Analyze service partner relationships and develop long-term strategic requirements to support assigned services and solutions

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • 8+ years of experience in IT product marketing and/or IT product portfolio management
  • Prior working experience in SaaS, DaaS, or Cloud Services at an OEM or other provider
  • Strong knowledge of IT services sales and the PC services lifecycle comprising of plan, configure, deploy, support, manage, and retire stages
  • Strong background in IT Solution sales and comfort with the domain language of solution selling
  • Strong knowledge of “as a Service” industry trends, associated solutions, and key partner solutions
  • Global and multi-cultural mindset. Skilled people person, who can be immensely persuasive and effective in communicating your ideas across large teams
  • Ability to think big picture and strategically without getting lost in the details, married with the capability to drive tactical teams on execution and consistently deliver exceptional results
  • An understanding that speed is everything but prioritizing the right thing is equally important - you appreciate delivering impact quickly
  • Exposure to incubation businesses with an entrepreneurial spirit and enthusiasm for creating new processes and solutions to push through barriers to success
