Description and Requirements


Workstation Product Engineer

Solve quality and engineering problems starting with recreation of issue, root cause analysis, development, and deployment of solution. Work with customers and suppliers to solve quality

issues related to mechanical or hardware failures in Lenovo Workstation products. Use lab equipment like X-ray machine, SEM/EDX (Scanning electron microscopy), Anechoic chamber,

Force Gauges etc. to conduct root cause analysis on failing hardware. Design and 3D print mechanical fixtures for the product engineering team using CAD (Computer Aided Design)

software. Assist other product engineers to solve both Mechanical and Electrical engineering problems in the ThinkPad product line. Collaborate with development engineering teams in

Japan and China and assist with testing new products for design and quality issue. Drive improvements and design changes into the next generation of Lenovo products through Lessons Learned. Speak as the voice of the customer to development, ODMs, and suppliers. Telecommuting permitted.


Qualifications

Master’s Degree

0 or more years of relevant experience

1. Analysis of fractures and crack-like defects;

2. Customer needs analysis;

3. Market analysis for new product design;

4. 3D printing and additive manufacturing;

5. Python Programming.
