Description and Requirements

Worldwide Product Segment Manager – Education PCs
Lenovo is seeking a Worldwide Product Manager to join its Global Product Business Unit. The position will be based at our Headquarters in Morrisville, NC and will be responsible for PCs targeted at Education (K-12). The ideal candidate will have experience working in a global and multicultural team environment and possess the skills to act as a leader on the Offerings Core Team (OCT).  This role requires working with Product Development, Engineering, Procurement, Services, and Alliance Partners to bring new competitive offerings to market. A significant amount of time will be spent with Research and Development and Geography Product and 4P teams, to develop the product requirements for the next generation of PCs designed for Student, Teachers, and Admins in the Education Segment. This individual must be passionate about technology, possess strong written and oral communications skills, be a creative yet detail-oriented thinker, and be able to thrive in a diverse team environment.

About The Job

  • Act as core member of cross-disciplinary team responsible for defining and developing new Education products
  • Be the Education PC market expert and develop strategy for the Windows Education PC portfolio
  • Communicate and position product and technologies in the portfolio and against the competition
  • Act as the subject matter expert to stakeholders
  •  Learn from Customer Engagement activities and take feedback for product development of the next generation

Position Requirements 

  • Passion for technology and familiar with the Windows OS ecosystem
  • Undergraduate degree
  • Hardware engineering or Product management experience required
  • 7+ years of relevant experience
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a global team environment
  • Ability to think strategically but have exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills.
  • Flexibility to travel as needed (10-20%)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Technical and/or Engineering degree
  •  Product management experience preferred
  •  Past experience working in technology, specifically in the education space
