Description and Requirements

Education/Training

  • Masters or PhD in Communications, Business, Market Research, or Social Science and/or at least 3-4 years’ experience in eComm marketing research for an enterprise-level company
  • Statistics & experimental research training

Desired Experience

  • Responsible for dependable, insightful, data analysis that allows us to create websites and communities that make segment visitors love coming to the site and using it
  • 3-4 years of market research experience creating, conducting, analyzing data, and presenting results from market research studies
  • Experience with primary research including survey development, programming, and data analysis; experience with survey tools such as Confirmit, Qualtrics
  • Ability to learn dedicated customer-experience platforms
  • Familiarity with Adobe Analytics, JIRA, Monday.com, Sharepoint, MS Office Suite
  • Prefer experience working with eComm sites like Lululemon, Wayfair, fitness companies, Target, BestBuy, or other B2C companies
  • Prefer segment experience such as work with Community websites, Gamers, College students, Parents of K-12, and SMB; important part of your work will be studying and building relationships with community and segment members so that strategies can be built to address their issues

Responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining internal dashboards of external syndicated data to help drive product roadmaps
  • Supporting the Product Development Team on syndicated research needs
  • Leading primary research projects from surveys to interviews to focus groups

A successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Understanding of marketing research tools, methods, and best practices
  • Analytical, problem-solving, and data skills with the ability to create studies that create, interpret and simplify complex data sets for others and communicate details or summarize data trends and key themes
  • Confidence when presenting and communicating with a wide variety of people, including senior executives
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills: both for day-to-day communication as well as ad-hoc presentations in PowerPoint
  • Expert level skills in Word, Excel, and PPT, statistical analysis
  • Takes initiative and demonstrates ownership
  • Collaborates with key stakeholders and communicates consistently and well with them
  • Well-developed organizational and project management skills
  • Able to execute with urgency, to ensure timely decisions in a fast-paced industry
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to understand and exhibit understanding of various marketing and campaign strategies
  • Willingness to work on projects or tasks with a team or independently
  • Basic understanding of statistics or statistical modeling
