The Industry Solutions Senior Sales Engineer will be technical subject matter expert (SME) for a portion of the Lenovo workplace and CRE technology portfolio.   Other vertical solutions may be required in t he future. They will support the Lenovo sales teams, solution product managers, sales engineers, services architects, and business partners on customer engagements as the key technical solution expert.   They will recommend solution and services architectures to address customer challenges based on Lenovo and partner offerings and assist in creation of service statements of work for complex engagements around those offerings.   They will help develop and maintain technical solution documentation and assist and train local sales and technical teams.   They will work closely with cross-functional Lenovo and partner teams to refine offerings to meet changing market and customer requirements.  Post-sale they will support customers during solution implementation and through services hand off to ensure customer success.   They will cultivate strong, trusted, and meaningful relationships with extended Lenovo team (account sellers, services experts, engineering, delivery), external customers, and strategic partners.

Role Capabilities:

This role requires broad and deep technology expertise as well as experience in technical consultancy of end-to-end solutions.     The ideal candidate will have deep technical and commercial knowledge of several workplace/building/real estate technologies such as workspace booking software, building management systems (BMS), digital signage, occupancy analytics, collaboration solutions, commercial AV, or IoT solutions.   The candidate should be well versed not only in the hardware and software architecture of solutions but in the end-to-end implementation and lifecycle management of technology.  In additional to technical capabilities the role requires confident, articulate and professional oral and written communication capabilities in addressing all levels of audiences including C-levels. The candite should have a strong understanding of sales and delivery organizations from a previous position in a similar capacity.  

Role Requirements:

  • Previous experience in technical sales / sales engineering roles
  • Relevant technical certifications
  • 6+ Years experience in technical consultancy and end-to-end solutions with proven results
  • 3+ Years Workplace Solutions industry experience (CRE/Smart Building/Commercial AV/ Collaboration, etc.)
  • A passion for learning new technologies, critical thinking, and solving problems
