■Position Description
Technical Account Manager is responsible for interfacing Japanese carriers (MO and/or MVNO) to understand their Software and network related requirements, articulate & communicate them to internal organization (Motorola R&D, product operation, sales & marketing), keeping track of the action items, and verify their implementations.
The position will occasionally be involved in identifying and investigating the root cause of NW and SW/HW related issues of the models launched in the market. Also will be involved in NW and SW related technical Q&A’s from potential customers upon requests from corporate sales team.
The position will mainly interact with Motorola JP Project Manager, country sales & marketing team, global R&D and product operations team, quality assurance team, inside the company.
Also will interface with Japanese carriers as well as SW development service providers and certification firms.
■Key responsibilities
- Understand customer NW/SW and HW requirements that are established to meet their respective technical objects. –
- Support Project Manager to launch the product on schedule.
- Work with Motorola sales & marketing team to extend our sales efforts in the accounts
- Provide strategic input to Motorola regarding the industry or application technology trend in order to enhance the partnership with the customers.
- Track and feedback project details, design-in and qualifications plans based on the in-country competitive land-scape, process technology and qualification status.
◇Requirements◇
■Key Requirements
- At least 3 years’ experience of developing models NTT / KDDI / Softbank /Rakuten / MVNO
- Ability to understand smartphone development process
- Proficient in Japanese, English for, listening, speaking and reading. (in Mandarin strong plus)
- Ability to understand the technical value proposition and translate it into a business value proposition.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Prior experience in an operator technical interfacing role required.
- Managing technical contractors in the team.
