Motorola is empowering consumers to go beyond the limits of the traditional smartphone, unleashing the power of the mobile device to amplify software experiences. We are looking for a skilled and experienced Product Manager to lead the development of our In-App Payment, Billing and ID platform.
This Product Manager will be responsible for the development and launch of a payment platform for Motorola and Partner experiences. This role will require close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including design, engineering, marketing, experience product managers, partners, and sales to ensure a successful worldwide launch.
Key Responsibilities:
The Platform Product Manager takes initiative and is responsible for developing and managing the consumer requirements, product definition and lifecycle management of a technology platform which will provide payment/billing services to Motorola's & Partners on-device experience and applications. You will be working at the intersection of Android and Mobile Payments.
As the product owner, you will drive product from concept through launch phases and continually act as the product evangelist
Develop and manage the product roadmap for our mobile in-app payment and subscription platform;
Develop and manager the product roadmap for our ID and customer authentication solution
Author a PRD including value proposition, product and service goals, key selling points, regional requirements, product specifications, financials and KPIs.
Analyze consumer needs and pain points as well as key market trends to define product and service vision.
Manage a product vision and consumer journey based on collective learnings and alignment with UI/UX, Engineering, Consumer Insights, Geos, and other teams.
Continually Evaluate payment partners and solution providers on a worldwide basis
Drive cross-functional alignment on a committed global release plan.
Work in an Agile/Scrum environment
Drive focus on product goals and action at each development milestone to ensure product remains competitive and delivers on consumer experience goals
Analyze the performance of new services and optimize them for revenue generation.
Continuously monitor market trends and adjust the product roadmap as necessary.
Basic Qualifications:
8+ years of Product Management of software and services in mobile industries
Undergraduate major ie. CS, Business
Highly effective communication skills are required
Fluent in English
Preferred Qualifications:
Masters or MBA
Experience with Fintech, Payment platforms, Payment Gateways (stripe, ayden, google play billing, worldpay, apple pay) or Mobile commerce
Experience with ID/Auth solutions (Auth0, Cognito, Keycloak)
Experience with Android development and understanding on the mobile payment value chain; including mobile payment SDKs
Experience in launching services with paid, freemium subscription models
Proven ability to run large scale, complex projects
Strong product management experience and the ability to drive innovation, anticipate product weaknesses, delays or risks, and creatively problem solve with the team
Ability to guide / influence a large group and provide direction on all aspects of product features, schedules and deliverables
A keen, flexible and aggressive intellect with superb conceptual thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to analyze and communicate technical issues, lead discussions, and influence decisions
