职位描述和要求:
Lenovo is seeking a Legal Director to support its Global Supply Chain group (GSC), reporting to the Director of Legal for the Global Operations Group. The successful candidate will be providing legal counsel to senior GSC leaders, mentoring and support to a worldwide team of legal professionals, and direct support for commercial transactions with the application of project management, process innovation, technology and tools to the delivery of legal work in a way that drives both improved risk-mitigation and improved efficiency.
Position responsibilities include solutions counseling, mentoring and training more junior legal professionals, contract creation, negotiation, and review, providing advice and counsel on legal, compliance and business transactions, including risk analysis and reward, and presenting options and opportunities. The position will collaborate with internal and outside counsel, technology experts, marketing and sales teams, product developers as well as with Lenovo’s suppliers and customers as needed.
Specifically, this role is responsible for:
1. Partnering with Legal and business leadership to provide risk-balanced, practical legal solutions in the rapidly evolving global technology supply chain ecosystem
2. Strategic advice regarding global supply chain and compliance issues in the increasingly fragmented geopolitical technology environment
3. Negotiating a high volume of complex technology supply chain related agreements, and a variety of other commercial contracts including confidentiality agreements, license agreements, data processing agreements, professional services agreements, assignments and amendments
4. Develop and implement legal efficiencies to support business teams and improve contract processes and operations
5. Improve and create contract templates and playbooks
6. Work closely with clients and the legal team on strategic initiatives in support of all business units
7. Provide proactive advice regarding business and legal issues and risks
Our ideal candidate has:
1. JD or LLM and admission to practice
2. 15 years of counseling, drafting and negotiation experience in a fast-paced environment, preferably focused on technology and/or technology supply chain transactions
3. Experience with supply chain transactional work, including direct procurement (hardware, software, accessories), indirect procurement (IT, Finance, HR etc.), logistics, manufacturing and engineering is mandatory.
4. Strong communication skills (oral and written) and presentation skills to explain complex matters to business partners in a manner that is readily understandable to ensure well-informed business decisions.
5. Demonstrated effective interpersonal interaction, including with senior executives in a highly customer-satisfaction focused environment
6. Developed critical thinking and proactive problem-solving skills, with a willingness to get into the details of complex problems and drive creative solutions
7. Detail-oriented, with outstanding organizational skills and ability to manage multiple transactions and projects simultaneously under deadline pressure
8. Demonstrated exceptional judgment, integrity and ability to give practical advice appropriately weighing legal and business objectives
9. A strong team player who can work well with colleagues in all functional groups
10. Committed to his/her personal growth and development by actively seeking feedback and responding with constructive action
11. Team and project leadership experience is highly preferred
