If you are passionate about creating human centric design and innovation, we would like to invite you to join us as part of the award-winning Lenovo Design Innovation Team and work in one of the Lenovo’s design centers. As a Sr. Design Technologist, your role will be all about proving, advancing, and evolving cutting-edge UX concepts through prototyping and hands-on product work. You'll work quickly, choosing the right technology for each task, to bring design ideas (interactions, visuals, sound, motion) to life. Your work will be instrumental in demonstrating and evaluating these concepts, serving as a crucial reference for our engineering partners collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Build high-quality, functional prototypes that convey, prove, and advance the vision of future experience for product.
• Collaborate with design leadership and key stakeholders throughout the product lifecycle.
• Work alongside designers, PMs, engineers, and other experts to drive concepts from idea to implementation.
• Advance design thinking by leveraging your platform expertise and supporting your team.
• Continuously evaluate and document new standards or patterns that emerge from your work.
• Thrive in a fast-paced, iterative environment with minimal documentation and technical support

Qualifications

• 5+ years of front-end technologist, engineer, or UX prototyper experience, have an available online portfolio.
• Experience developing visually polished, engaging, and highly fluid UX prototypes.
• Have coding samples in front end programming languages, proven ability to work cross-functionally with UX, product, and non-technical teams.
• Experience with a broad range of technologies, including mobile devices, media devices, gaming consoles, smart TVs, hardware prototyping, and IoT. Knowledge of professional software engineering best practices, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, CI/CD, testing, and operational excellence.
• Experience with machine learning (ML) tools and methods, including familiarity with common frameworks, understanding of core ML concepts, and the ability to prototype and integrate ML-powered features into interactive applications.
• Strong interest and proficiency in visual and motion design.
