职位描述和要求:

The Experience Design Group (EDG) is currently seeking a Design Portfolio Operations Manager to assist with the daily operations of Lenovo’s highly recognized industrial design team based in Morrisville, NC. As part of EDG, the Design Operations group provides essential services to a worldwide team including resource and budget management, BMS monitoring and creation, operations tools management, segment portfolio communications and related resource balancing, and special projects.
This role will support several critical operational areas within EDG, including external Lenovo segment portfolio design management.
As such, the candidate would work closely with both internal management and external segment team members and leaders to negotiate and coordinate resources, timelines, budgets, and tasks to ensure smooth end to end EDG integration within the segment’s portfolio and product development cycles.

 They would also be responsible for communicating both internally and externally ongoing deliverables checkpoints, and work with the teams to ensure that all key tasks to meet milestones are on track or that mitigation and/or alternative plans are in place.

 This role would also be responsible for maintaining and managing key BMS checkpoints and interlocks between EDG and the segments on a proactive basis. Because product development is a fast-paced environment, the candidate will need to be able to understand and quickly apply existing processes to real-life scenarios and be able to successfully communicate to management when exceptions to the processes and deviation approval may need to be put into place.
 They would also be responsible for coordinating and managing weekly executive level BMS interlock agendas, attendees, and post interlock communications.
 This position will work closely with both internal and external worldwide teams to ensure that daily operational tasks are completed and communicated as needed.
They will be expected to manage projects with long and short-term timelines and understand prioritizing tasks.
They will clearly communicate project status, timelines, deliverables, goals, and expectations to their management and other internal and external stakeholders on a regular basis.
They will need to successfully complete these tasks within a worldwide team, and with many of whom they will only have “virtual” communication with.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Effectively negotiating/coordinating resource availability, timelines, and funding to support internal EDG work efforts and external segment team’s expectations and requirements.

This includes regular communications at both portfolio and product levels to ensure that all key stakeholder expectations and requirements are proactively managed Serving as primary BMS owner for assigned segments and ensuring that all key BMS checkpoints, interlocks, and communications are handled in a professional and timely manner.

 This includes understanding where BMS constraints may be a limitation to the overall business and providing alternatives and mitigation plans outside of normal BMS for consideration and approval. Special projects as needed

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
 Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field 2-3 years corporate experience in project management, portfolio management, BMS management or related operational experience demonstrating a track record of successful management of tasks and requirements experience successfully managing projects with multiple deadlines.
·Strong attention to detail and organizational/planning skills.
·Entry level project management skills and ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and priorities.
·Ability to multi-task and work cross-functionally with operations, product marketing, product development, and other organizations.
 Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills and ability to work in fast-paced environments and high-pressure situations.
 Experience working collaboratively with a variety of globally located internal and external stakeholders to provide timely and accurate information.
 Proven ability to manage tasks and deliverables remotely in a “virtual” work environment.  

Effective working both independently and as a team member;
Demonstrate autonomy over assigned work while working towards goals shared by the team An ability to work analytically with their right brain, but are also able to easily translate their work to those who are driven by their left brain.
Must be able to speak fluently in English PMP certification preferred but not required
