1.The Storage Engineer will serve as a Technologist in the evaluation, implementation, optimization, and maintenance of the storage systems. Primary responsibilities will be to drive HDD and Controller storage component strategies and recommend industry standard methodologies for storage solutions.

2.Excited by the idea of using new hardware technologies to help scale and build innovative cloud storage infrastructure

Excited to create and analyze storage architectural and product improvements through design, with strong project development, program management, and organization skills.

3.Understand industry trends and in partnership with technology assist in developing the strategic direction for technology initiatives.

4.Create and maintain required documentation including specifications

5.Review and analyze new technologies and summarize results for presentation to technical and non-technical audiences

6.Be the champion for innovation across teams, leverage the engineering orgto drive innovation initiatives.

7.Be a mentor and help drive mentoring programs for grooming our next wave of technology leaders and innovators.

Participate in team investigationsSkills Requirements:

1.In depth knowledge of storage technologies and storage systems’ architecture.Experience working with Storage Technology vendors

2.Passionate about working in a lab with mockup test units; set it up, rack it, configure it, provision it, etc.

3.Strong Linux systems knowledge; kernel, filesystems, performance profiling and optimization.

4.Experience in early product concepts and architecture development through prototyping, evaluation of new designs and system architecture

5.Experience (and love) for hardware validation using synthetic tests & benchmarks, as wellas debugging complex hardware problems to ensure the system works in all cases.

6.Solid understanding of storage security elements.
