职位描述和要求:

Lenovo Workstations offer leading edge solutions for customers in key vertical segments including Engineering, media and entertainment content creation, data science, medical, oil and gas, and finance.  In order to support a growing product portfolio and sales force, we are actively seeking to add a Workstation Customer Solutions Engineer to our team.  As part of the Workstation Customer Solutions Team, some of the responsibilities included with this role would be:

  • Engage directly with customers, business partners, and resellers to understand their technical requirements and provide detailed, tailored solutions to meet those requirements.
  • Provide relentless support for all technical hardware questions and issues across multiple supported operating systems.
  • Interface with the global Workstation Customer Solutions Team on a regular basis to stay current on all cases being worked and share best practices and experiences in dealing with various customer solutions.
  • Work with both our Workstation Performance/Benchmarking team and Workstation ISV teams as needed to respond to specific technical requests related to those areas.
  • Being comfortable talking about complex technical issues with people of various levels of experience and explaining concepts in an easy to understand manner to reach broad audiences.
  • Provide assistances and support for other engineers in the Customer Solutions Team.
  • Provide training and technical parameter explanation of new products for local product teams and partners

Position Requirements:

  • B.S. and/or M.S degree in Electrical Engineering/Computer Science or similar field.
  • 2+ years of experience with PC/Workstation system engineering/design or supporting x86 hardware.
  • Strong technical understanding of current PC architecture and design trends.
  • Substantial knowledge of BIOS, Windows, and Linux operating systems, device drivers, and how these components work together.
  • Excellent technical debug and problem solved skills.
  • Strong practical application development and support on Windows and Linux based systems.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as part of both small focused and larger cross-functional teams.
  • Fast paced, self-motivated team player with an attention to detail and a customer first attitude.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills (English required)
