Description and Requirements

Employer: Lenovo Japan, LLC
Work location: Akihabara UDX (Tokyo); (3 onsite and 2 remote days in a week could be applicable)
Smoking: Not allowed in the office, but smoking room is available in 5th floor of Akihabara UDX
Employment condition: Permanent Staff (Probation period: 6 months)
Expected salary: Depending on the current salary and experience, we would make our decision
Overtime allowance: Not applicable
Working hours:  9:00-17:45 (Rest time: 1 hour (12:00-13:00)) 
Holidays: Saturday, Sunday, national holidays, year-end holiday, established anniversary day, special holiday, and compensatory holiday

About the Organization
The Lenovo Japan Services Sales & Marketing organization is at the forefront of driving innovation and growth within our Services business. We are a dynamic team responsible for the sales, promotion, and development of advanced services that help our enterprise customers achieve their business objectives. This includes cultivating strong relationships with customers, business partners, and our delivery organizations, while continuously exploring new market opportunities and expanding our service offerings. We thrive on developing new business and bringing cutting-edge solutions to market in innovative ways.

Position Overview
This senior leadership position plays a critical role in expanding our services footprint in Japan. You will be instrumental in spearheading business growth for advanced services, leading initiatives, and shaping our strategic approach. The role involves both direct engagement in complex deals and strategic leadership in developing our service portfolio and sales capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:
• Strategic Business Development & Sales Leadership:
- Proactively identify, develop, and close significant opportunities for Lenovo's advanced services, including Device as a Service (DaaS), Configuration, Deployment, Managed Services, Project-Oriented Services, and Sustainability Services.
- Drive sales performance to achieve quarterly and annual revenue and profit targets.
- Formulate and execute Japan-specific strategies in alignment with global objectives, focusing on business development and market expansion for advanced service offerings.
- Manage and provide insights into pipeline management, key performance indicators (KPIs), and activity tracking for the services business, reporting regularly to senior leadership.
• Solution Architecture & Design:
- Lead the development of comprehensive, creative, and cost-effective advanced service solutions for our customers, often in response to complex RFPs/RFQs or direct engagements.
- Collaborate with internal teams and Lenovo Services delivery partners to design solutions that meet diverse customer requirements, potentially incorporating multiple lifecycle stages (plan, configure, deploy, support, manage, retire).
- Facilitate workshops with customers to thoroughly scope requirements and ensure proposed solutions align perfectly with their needs.
• Relationship Management & Collaboration:
- Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with Lenovo Japan Account Sales teams, business partners, and key stakeholders within our Service Sales Group, including Service Support and Advanced Services Delivery.
- Act as a central point of contact for large, complex accounts, taking ownership of engagement and ensuring seamless coordination across internal departments (e.g., finance, service delivery) and external partners.
- Drive prompt resolution of escalated customer issues, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction throughout the service lifecycle.
• Contracting & Governance:
- Lead all elements of services solution governance, from project kickoff to stakeholder coordination and overall solution strategy.
- Develop detailed Statements of Work (SOWs) and contracts with customers and selected business partners, including negotiations to mitigate risk and ensure clear documentation of requirements.
• Team Leadership & Enablement:
- Contribute to team building and foster a collaborative environment within the services organization.
- Provide insights and tools based on opportunity analysis to empower the broader Lenovo Japan sales organization.

Qualifications:
Essential:
- 10+ years of proven sales experience in the corporate IT sector, with a strong preference for candidates with significant experience in service sales or managed services.
- Prior experience as a manager or team leader.
- Demonstrated success in new business development and applying strategic marketing techniques to introduce new services to market.
- Strong negotiation and logical communication skills.
- Ability to build and maintain excellent relationships across various internal and external departments.
- Proficient reporting and presentation skills.
- Familiarity with modern IT environments including Windows 11 and Microsoft 365 fundamentals.
- Native-level Japanese language proficiency.
- Business-level English proficiency (ability to participate in meetings, communicate interactively, and manage email correspondence effectively; TOEIC 800+ equivalent preferred).

Desirable:
- Experience in the System Integrator (SI) industry.
- Experience selling Managed Services (especially in the multi-million dollar range) or consumption-based models (SaaS, DaaS, Cloud Services).
- Management experience within a foreign IT company.
- Project management skills.
- Experience with platforms like MS Dynamics, Salesforce, and ServiceNow.
- MBA or advanced technical degree.
