Job Responsibilities (will include but not be limited to the following):
#. Base on MRD/PRD to do concept assessment and incubation.
#. Consolidate cross-function teams to implement feature design, solution fulfill MRD/PRD.
#. Work with Lenovo in-House design engineering resources or outsourced development partners to develop reliable, cost effective and high-quality solutions.
#. High level review design of cost, and perform justification to select design/solution even break down to component level.
#. Work with commodity team, hardware team, firmware team (BIOS, BMC, FPGA, PSOC), and driver team to come out phase entry DD list, ensure all function teams are aligned on hardware/firmware/driver/OS version performing the design test and validation.
#. Review test plans for the designs, including validation of hardware circuit quality/ robustness; mechanical tolerances/ assembly interference, form/fit/function, shock and vibration; electromagnetic interference; safety; reliability; thermal generation; system power measurements and expected distribution with internal peer functions and outsourced design partners.
#. Collaborates and communicates with management team, internal peer functions, and outsourced development partners regarding design status, project progress, risk assessment, and issue resolution.
#. Organize design, and validation team to review product issues, clarify the trouble shooting direction base on analytic result in order to narrow down the root cause. Position Requirements:
#. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
#. Industrial design experience more than 10 years, preferred on Server / IPC product development experience.
#. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Fluent in English
#. Familiar with Enterprise Server design, CSP/Datacenter infrastructure design experience is better.
#. Has strong relationship with component suppliers, Industrial ORG / Community. Familiar with industrial trending and continually performing new technology research.
#. Understand the characteristics of each components, PCB material requirements, timely implement suitable / cost effective solutions or parts in the design.
#. Preferred 2 socket and above system design.
#. Project leading experience to cooperate with each function teams (Mechanical, Thermal, Signal integrity, FW, Power, Validation...) to provide the optimized solution fulfil marketing or customer's requirements and production on time.
#. Familiar with system architecture, electrical design, firmware behavior, mechanical structure, thermal cooling design, validation contain which can look into the design or problem from different angles.
#. Strong issue logical analytical and problem-solving skills.
#. Clearly known of manufactory DFX rules and L6/L10 manufacture testing to ensure the product can moving forward for mass production with high yield rete and quality.
