Description and Requirements

The Consumer Retail Sales Manager Switzerland is responsible for establishing and managing the total Consumer retail partner relationship and based at our Zurich office.

As an ideal candidate, you have an entrepreneurial mindset and you are proficient in planning and executing an effective retail strategy while maintaining effective long-term business collaboration at the senior level with key decision makers and influencers. In this role you identify and prioritize Lenovo opportunities and develop solutions strategies, plan and facilitate, conduct complex negotiations and reach lasting agreements & commitments. You are responsible for the P&L and drive growth with the existing customer base and acquire new partners in key Consumer segments, (MM) Mass Merchandiser, (CES) Consumer Electronic Store, (CS) Computer Shop, (OER) Office Equipment Retailer and E-tail.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Achieve all Swiss Market sales targets including value, volume, profitability, new retailer recruitment, option sales and development of new channels
    Personally engage Retailers and Distributors to develop the end to end & sales process for success in the market
  • Develop the business strategy and have end to end ownership and accountability for the complete sales process
  • Manage the relationship and execute the Lenovo consumer strategy within the leading local retail chains and Telcos
  • Put in place processes and procedures to ensure that major Retail Partner accounts are handled in the most effective way
  • Define and Review Key Performance Indicators to ensure the achievement of Lenovo’s Retail Business growth targets
  • Grow share of wallet with existing retailers with focus on forecasting and pipeline-management
  • Increase Lenovo's presence at major Retail shops - both storefronts and online
  • Manage product portfolio, conduct competitive analysis, sales campaign creation and execution in conjunction with our local product teams (4P)
  • Work with marketing team to develop and execute marketing campaigns and initiatives for and jointly with the partners
  • Further establish the brand name as well recognized and esteemed on the Swiss market
  • As a role model, you are leading a highly engaged and experienced team of customer facing & inside sales representatives

Experience & Required Key skills:

  • Minimum 5 years proven sales experience and proven IT/CE industry retail sales  success
  • Proven ability to build relationships & negotiate with key decision makers and to manage multiple consumer channels and propositions to ensure minimum of channel / price conflict
  • Network of contacts within Swiss retailers, e-tailers, and Distributors
  • Self-motivated and pro-active mentality with a positive attitude
  • Have credibility and ability to influence senior management and stakeholders with recommendations and proposals
  • Ability to motivate and inspire sales reps to succeed and overachieve, excellent people management skills & experience
  • Own the tasks and drive for results, understand and embrace strategy, energizes the team
  • Requires travel within Switzerland
  • German fluent and excellent English skills, French an advantage
