This is a remote position and can be based anywhere in the United States.
Lenovo’s Infrastructure Solutions Group, Advanced Infrastructure Solutions are seeking a highly skilled and visionary AI Enterprise Architect with a specialized focus on compute infrastructure to lead the design, development, and optimization of our AI and machine learning (ML) platforms. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in high-performance computing, AI workloads, and cloud-native architectures. This role is pivotal in driving Lenovo’s AI strategy and ensuring our compute resources align with both current and future business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Define and drive the enterprise AI compute architecture strategy, aligning it with Lenovo ISG’s overall technology and business goals.
Develop scalable and cost-effective compute strategies to support AI and ML model development, training, and inference at scale.
Design high-performance computing systems, including on-premises clusters, cloud solutions, and hybrid environments optimized for AI workloads.
Identify and recommend GPU/TPU architectures, edge AI compute frameworks, and other specialized hardware solutions.
Leverage NVIDIA’s hardware and software ecosystem, including GPUs, CUDA, and AI-focused libraries, to enhance compute capabilities and performance.
Evaluate emerging compute technologies and trends (e.g AI-optimized chips) for potential integration.
Collaborate with vendors and technology partners, particularly NVIDIA, to assess and adopt leading-edge compute solutions tailored for AI/ML workloads.
Work closely with data science, engineering, and IT teams to ensure seamless integration of compute resources into AI/ML pipelines.
Provide guidance on workload distribution, resource allocation, and cost optimization across distributed systems.
Establish governance models for compute resource usage, ensuring compliance with security, privacy, and regulatory standards.
Implement best practices for resource monitoring, capacity planning, and fault tolerance.
Lead and mentor technical teams in the adoption of advanced AI compute techniques and tools.
Serve as a thought leader and advocate for Lenovo ISG’s AI initiatives internally and externally.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience in designing and implementing compute architectures for AI/ML workloads.
Strong understanding of on-prem compute platforms and solutions
Expertise in GPU/TPU-based systems, distributed computing, and parallel processing.
Familiarity with NVIDIA’s tools and frameworks, such as TensorRT, NVIDIA AI Enterprise, and NVIDIA DGX systems.
Proficiency in AI/ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) and container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes).
Strategic thinking with the ability to balance immediate technical needs with long-term architectural goals.
Experience in developing server roadmaps and performance tuning for GPU-intensive AI workloads.
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Strong leadership and communication skills, capable of influencing stakeholders at all levels.
Analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex architectural challenges.- 8+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, compute infrastructure, or related fields.
Prior experience in designing compute solutions for AI/ML use cases
