The sponsorship of work permits may not be authorized in all countries, so we assess it on a case-by-case basis. We suggest speaking with your recruiter for more information.

Depending on the level and type of role, we may offer relocation packages to out-of-town candidates. Please let your recruiter know your expectations.

Q: How do I apply for an internship or co-op position at Lenovo?

We offer a variety of short and long-term internships, summer internships, and co-op programs to qualified students. Visit our University page for more details on how to apply.

Q: What is the best time to apply for university openings?

Although we post job opportunities throughout the year on a rolling basis, most of our internship and early-career full-time openings are posted by September for the following year.  We complete much of our hiring by December, so please submit your application as early as possible to be in consideration.

Q: What should I do if I don’t see a position that suits me well?

Q: What do you look for in student candidates?

Whether you’re an intern or full-time hire, we’re look for candidates who are self-starters, driven and have potential to grow. A passion for technology and innovation will help you, help us, create smarter technology for all. Each role has a unique set of requirements, so it's important that your skills, experience, and interests match up well with what we're looking for.

Q: How long do Intern programs last and how are they structured?

The duration of your internship will vary depending on the program and semester. Most of our internships last 8-12 weeks over the summer, or 14-18 weeks during the semester. You will report to the manager that hires you. During the summer we have lots of intern enrichment programs, volunteer and fun activities.

Q: What does your recruiting season look like?

For University roles, we collect head count each spring, prepare over the summer and recruit in the fall. We’re typically on the road at your schools in Sept through early Oct. We screen resumes throughout the fall. On-site and Virtual interview sessions are in Oct/Nov and we try to get all full-time offers out by the end of the calendar year. Intern hires come next, we hire for summer interns starting in January. Many internships run year-round, so we post and hire as needed.

Q: Do student workers have access to any company benefits or perks?

Access to our benefits and perks vary greatly by location and role. This is a good question to ask during your intern interview!

Q: Do I have to have a technical degree to work at Lenovo?

No, we hire for a wide variety of both technical and non-technical roles across the company.  Search jobs or work with a recruiter to learn more about where your degree may be a good match.

Q: Can I still apply to internship and full-time roles if I’m an international student?

Yes, we encourage everyone to apply to our openings and we will communicate any further information as the recruitment process progresses. We support CPT/OPT and Visa processing for some roles.

Q: Do you have to be a previous intern to apply to full-time early career roles?

No, everyone is welcome to apply to our early career opportunities.
