Description and Requirements

This is a remote position and can be based anywhere in the United States. 

Lenovo Infrastructure Solutions Group (ISG) is seeking an innovative and experienced AI Enterprise Architect with a strong focus on NVIDIA networking and Lenovo storage integration. This role will spearhead the development and optimization of next-generation AI infrastructure by seamlessly integrating advanced networking and storage solutions with AI and ML platforms. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in high-performance networking, storage architectures, and AI workload requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and implement enterprise networking and storage strategies tailored for AI/ML workloads.

  • Align architectural designs with Lenovo ISG’s broader technology and business objectives, ensuring scalability, performance, and cost-efficiency.

  • Architect and deploy high-performance networking solutions, leveraging NVIDIA networking technologies such as InfiniBand, GPUDirect RDMA, and Spectrum switches.

  • Design and optimize low-latency, high-bandwidth networks to support distributed AI training and inference workloads.

  • Collaborate with NVIDIA to evaluate and integrate cutting-edge networking features that enhance AI workload performance.

  • Develop scalable, high-performance storage solutions provided by Lenovo, optimized for AI data pipelines, including training datasets and real-time inference requirements.

  • Leverage Lenovo’s innovative storage architectures to enhance data throughput, reliability, and scalability.

  • Ensure seamless integration of Lenovo storage systems with AI/ML workflows, supporting multi-cloud and hybrid environments.

  • Evaluate emerging technologies in networking and storage for AI, including NVMe-over-Fabrics, advanced caching mechanisms, and edge-to-core data movement strategies.

  • Work closely with technology partners, including NVIDIA for networking and Lenovo storage teams, to adopt state-of-the-art solutions and align with industry best practices.

  • Collaborate with data science, IT, and engineering teams to design end-to-end AI/ML pipelines with optimized networking and storage components.

  • Provide architectural guidance on workload placement, data locality, and resource allocation.

  • Establish standards and best practices for networking and storage in AI environments, ensuring security, reliability, and compliance.

  • Monitor and optimize resource usage, ensuring cost-effective deployment.

  • Serve as a thought leader within Lenovo ISG, advocating for advanced NVIDIA networking and Lenovo storage technologies in AI initiatives.

  • Lead internal initiatives on integrating NVIDIA networking and Lenovo storage solutions into AI workloads.


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.

  • At least 8 years in enterprise architecture, networking, or storage solutions.

  • Prior experience in integrating NVIDIA networking technologies and Lenovo storage solutions with AI/ML platforms is highly preferred.

  • Proven experience in designing and implementing networking and storage solutions for AI/ML environments.

  • Deep knowledge of NVIDIA networking technologies, including InfiniBand, GPUDirect RDMA, and Magnum IO.

  • Expertise in storage architectures such as NVMe, object storage, and distributed file systems.

  • Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) and data orchestration platforms.


Preferred Qualifications: 
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • Strategic thinker with a focus on optimizing performance and scalability.

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, capable of driving cross-functional collaboration.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex infrastructure challenges.

  • Passion for AI innovation and infrastructure excellence.

  • Ability to stay ahead of emerging trends in networking and storage for AI workloads.

  • Business acumen to align technical designs with organizational objectives.

The base salary range budgeted for this position is $170,000-$190,000. Individuals may also be considered for bonus and/or commissions. Lenovo’s various benefits can be found on  www.lenovobenefits.com.
