Description and Requirements

At Lenovo, we manufacture one of the world’s widest portfolios of connected products, including PCs (ThinkPad, Yoga, Lenovo Legion), tablets, smartphones and workstations as well as augmented and virtual reality (Mirage, ThinkReality) and smart home/office solutions, software and services. 

About Our Team: 
This is a friendly and dynamic team of researchers and engineers with very diverse backgrounds and strong technical expertise. We incorporate converging technologies into both existing and new products that take us beyond today’s most advanced products: smartphones, tablets, PCs, and other electronic devices. We perform research and system integration of software algorithms to deliver exciting products utilizing artificial intelligence, computer vision, image processing, machine learning. 

What You’ll Do: 
You will join the Mobile Technology Innovation team in Lenovo Research, an advanced research and technology group within Lenovo located in downtown Chicago, Illinois. You will be working with a group of dedicated and experienced colleagues on one or more of the current research projects. You will participate in regular team meetings, brainstorming sessions, team building events, and other company activities. You will have opportunities to contribute to the business by solving actual technical problems with innovative ideas, try out your idea by writing code and testing your code, file patent applications, and make technical presentations. 

Required Qualifications: 
-Ability to work in Chicago, Illinois (relocation may be provided)
-MS degree in CS, CE, EE or related field 
-3+ years of experience (can be academic research or internships) in AI for imaging and camera IQ processing techniques 
-Demonstrated understanding of the design and use of data structures and algorithms 
-4+ years (can be academic/internships) programming experience in one or more languages like Python, C, C++, Java, or MATLAB 
-2+ years hands-on experience applying machine learning and ML framework (TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.) to computer vision, image processing, or related area 

Preferred Qualifications: 
-Pursuing Ph.D. degree in CS, CE, EE or related field 
-Experience developing one or more of the following: mobile camera system, image signal processing (ISP), computational photography 
-Familiar with one or more development systems like Linux, Android, Windows, or real-time embedded
