Description and Requirements

Lenovo’s Infrastructure Solution Group (ISG) is seeking an experienced business development candidate with strong technical edge computing expertise. The Edge BD, along with the opportunity owners will provide edge expertise to customers and partners.  The role of the Edge BD is to champion edge use cases and provide technical & sales expertise to the local teams.  It is also expected that this role will develop and educate colleagues and partners on edge use cases.

The Edge BD is also responsible to capture customer requirements and work with the respective PLM to improve our edge portfolio.

Your responsibility:

  • Promote edge use cases in your region
  • Subject matter expert on edge products & technologies
  • Increase edge sales in your region
  • Train customers & partners on edge technologies and drive more business
  • Technical excellence in edge products and technologies
  • Deep understanding of edge use cases and how to promote them
  • Engage with local sales team on edge computing deals and provide expertise
  • Develop key partnerships unique to the geos to promote Lenovo edge computing
  • Capture & prioritize market requirements
  • Demo edge use cases
  • Develop relevant content like blog, solutions brief, presentations, etc. to promote edge technologies

Position Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree required

• Very strong technical understanding of server technologies

• Deep knowledge of edge computing environment

• 10+ years relevant experience sales or technical pre-sales

• Sales or business development experience in large & complex deals

• Proven track record of deal negotiation

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to gain credibility and become a trusted source for internal and external customers
