Job Responsibilities:

This position is part of Lenovo ISG Technical Evaluation Center and will be responsible for server electronic parts cost and design evaluation of both internal and competitive products.

1. Product tear-down evaluations to estimate cost and compare product designs
2. Identifying the competitiveness of our designs and providing insight and observations to our development teams
3. Consulting with cost managers, development engineers, procurement professionals and product marketing on cost down opportunities
4. Providing the cost estimation input to cost target process
5. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date cost estimation techniques and databases
6. Communicating results to a broad audience of internal colleagues

Job Requirements:

1. Degree in Electronics Engineering or Computer Science field
2. 10+ years of working experience of PC/Server Electronics Engineering field, EE (Electronics Engineering), SL (System Lead), CE (component engineer) preferred
3. Familiarity with server designs, BOM cost structures and electronic parts industry cost trends
4. Ability to identify discrete electrical components by sight
5. Deep understanding of the following is preferred: ECAT components, Printed Circuit Board construction, ECAT Manufacturing Techniques
6. Proven ability to communicate with a global audience at both a technical and executive level.
7. Fluency in written and spoken Chinese and English
8. Proficiency with MS Excel and MS Powerpoint
