Description and Requirements

The Lenovo Corporate Regulatory Compliance, Standards and ISO team is presently hiring a Regulatory Compliance Specialist to be a part of the Corporate Compliance team. This position will be located in Lenovo’s Bratislava, Slovakia office.

Position overview:

This role will be responsible for 2 primary functions.  

1) Act as the focal point for Lenovo’s Compliance web page and compliance@lenovo.com email. 

2) Act as the subject matter expert regarding EU/UK requirements related to the CE/UKCA marks, specifically wireless, EMC and safety.

- You will be responsible to answer customer regulatory inquiries that come in through the compliance@lenovo.com email, to provide requested certificates or documents to facilitate the movement of products through customs. These inquiries can be related to various technical areas including, safety, EMC, wireless and accessibility.

- You will be also the Corporate Regulatory team's focal for updating the customer accessible materials posted on the www.lenovo.com/compliance site. You'll closely cooperate with development teams and the web team.

- You'll be Lenovo’s subject matter expert related to EU/UK regulatory requirements (excluding environmental). 

This position will work closely with internal teams, external partners, and industry trade associations to ensure Lenovo’s ongoing compliance with EU/UK requirements. This position will attend EU focused regulatory work groups and share findings with the extended certification teams. This position will act as the focal for EU surveillance audits and inquiries related to EU/UK regulatory requirements.
  

Responsibilities:

  • Answer customer regulatory inquiries that come in through the compliance@lenovo.com email.

  • Pull regulatory documents from internal repositories and provide to customers.

  • Keep www.lenovo.com/compliance regulatory page (non-environmental) up to date with the latest information and documents. This includes collecting and posting EU/UK DoCs, VPATs, ECCNs and ISO certificates.

  • Collect and disseminate EU/UK regulatory requirements to the various Lenovo business units.

  • Participate in industry group meetings to capture changing and upcoming requirements.

  • Communicate findings through monthly corporate calls (Wireless, Safety and EMC).

  • Participate in projects to assist Lenovo business units with the implementation of new regulatory requirements.

  • Track and provide guidance related to regulatory marks, labels and publications.

  • Act as the focal point to respond to EU/UK based surveillance audits.

  • Other one-off tasks or projects may be assigned as needed.

 

Position Requirements

· 5+ years experience related to certification/regulatory compliance (safety, EMC or wireless) or ITE product development.  Wireless experience is a definite plus.

· Languages:  English 

· Experience successfully managing multiple tasks and updating technical documentation

· Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills and ability to work in fast-paced environments and high-pressure situations

· Strong attention to detail and organizational/planning skills

· Strong customer experience focus, with good oral and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

· Experience with the information technology products and development processes

· Experience with ITE wireless, EMC or safety development, testing and/or certification

· Bachelor’s degree or commiserate experience in computer science, engineering or related field


Base gross monthly salary from 2500 EUR, depending on experience + variable part 12% of your annual earnings
