Description and Requirements

The Agile Transformation Coach - Portfolio manager (ATC-PM) is a key enforcer of the business strategic goals for the Lenovo’s Cloud and Software group. You have the skills of an Agile Program Manager (APM) with a specialty of portfolio management. You are metrics driven and detail oriented , and a CHANGE AGENT with a passion for coaching and supporting the business to transform behaviors towards an Agile way of working, while keeping up with latest Agile trends and tools, and providing the input to the Agile Program Managers ( APM) The ATC-PM is an Agile leader who is eager to take part in cultivating an environment for our teams where transparency, speed, quality, are at the forefront. The ATC-PM will regularly work with the product management line management and operations to enforce the agile principles of portfolio management.

We are seeking an Agile Transformation Coach-Portfolio Manager that will focus on continuous improvement in the portfolio process; portfolio analysis; portfolio prioritization; portfolio planning; EOL planning; business case justification; business case alignment to strategy and change management to overall roadmap. As an ATC-PM, you will also be responsible for continuous management communication and reporting,

Above all, the ATC-PM will drive our portfolio by leveraging Agile/Lean management methodologies. You will ensure transparency of the portfolio and provide frequent automated reporting to ensure business goals are being met and allowing us to fail fast/forward with capability to pivot to realign business goals.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Portfolio process - design, continuous improvement, and change management
  • Portfolio analysis to support key decisions in portfolio planning and execution
  • Portfolio prioritization - align to CSW Segment leads and Cloud & SW strategy and key initiatives
  • Facilitate Cloud and SW cross-team portfolio planning sessions
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to define strategy, portfolio plan, and roadmap
  • Contribute to 12/24/36 months portfolio migration plan - EOL planning
  • Ensure business case / justification, due diligence and approval exist for all SW products in portfolio
  • Ensure business investments are aligned to strategy and agreed to portfolio plan and prioritization.
  • Change management of final portfolio roadmap
  • Identify and manage risks associated with portfolio
  • Utilize agile principles to influence change
  • Provide strong influencing skills to achieve alignment up, down, and across organization

Position Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related engineering field from a four-year accredited college/university.
  • Agile Certification (ACP (PMI), CSM (Scrum Alliance) or PSM (Scrum.org))
  • PMI Certification in Portfolio Management (PfMP (PMI))
  • 5 years or more organizational experience in software companies with Agile practices
  • 2 years or more organizational experience in software portfolio management
  • 3 years or more experience as an Agile coach for a software development team using Scrum principles, practices, and theory.
  • Extended track record of delivering training in a manner than ensures knowledge transfer
  • Experience with ATDD projects a must
  • Excellent communication and people-interaction skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in Software, Cloud Software
  • Experience with JIRA and other Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bamboo, and Crucible, Jira-Roadmaps (or another Agile Portfolio Management tool))
  • Expertise with Agile and accompanying techniques: User Centric Design, Acceptance Test Driven Design (ATDD), Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Automated Testing, SAFe
  • Experience and skills in leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continuous improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency
  • Excited to work in a rapidly changing industry.
