Description and Requirements

Lenovo’s Global Analytics Organization (GAO), part of our Corporate Digital Transformation Organization (CDTO) is hiring an Analytics Business Lead to coordinate key analytics projects to support Lenovo’s Marketing & Sales transformation efforts. While contributions will vary by project, the resource could be expected to do any of the following: formalize requirements from business stakeholders into forms that can be addressed by data science solutions; source and synchronize data from different systems; validate data quality and completeness; conduct both guided and un-guided data discovery; highlight insights by building compelling visualizations; and conduct iterative, progressive co-development sessions with stakeholders throughout Lenovo’s global sales and marketing functions to build global solutions that are highly adopted after launch. We are specifically interested in candidates who can apply creative business acumen to these latter functions.

 Work Experience

o Bachelors with 5-8 years working on data and analytics, preferably in marketing, sales, and/or customer engagement contexts


o Masters Degree with 1 - 3 years of experience with project work in data and analytics

o Consulting experience is valued, provided projects have had a strong analytics emphasis

 Preferred skills

o Command of some data visualization/exploration/discovery tool such as PowerBI, Qliksense, Tableau, JMP, SAS, Adobe Insights, etc.

o Experience in business areas relevant to marketing, sales, and customer experience

o Expertise in knowledge and execution (via software tools) in at least one of the following analytic areas: Data mining, forecasting, optimization;

o Expertise in establishing data quality review criteria, parameters, and proceses

o Proficiency in moving, and cleaning data

o Great communication and presentation skills


o Undergraduate degree in Economics, Math, Engineering, Stats, Bioinformatics, or Quantitative area of Business

o New graduates of masters or doctoral programs in similar fields, but with less experience, will be considered
