About Our Team
This is an exciting opportunity to join Motorola’s Globalization team! Our world-class Globalization engineers are committed to making Motorola global software user experience the industry's best in all the company’s mobile devices.

Beginning with your passion for a multicultural and multilingual environment and your understanding on internationalization impacts to global software development, you will quickly grow to become a subject matter expert - Developing globalized software & solutions. We need bright, innovative, self starters who document and communicate with high proficiency.
This is a position based in Jaguariúna-SP/Brazil.

What you'll do:
● Analyze software requirements to determine feasibility of design within quality assurance and time constraints, focusing on the correct implementation of internationalization standards and discussing with stakeholders to define the best approach for software development.
● Integrate the latest Android platform to mobile products, analyze and fix issues to support global product delivery, especially on new Android versions according to market requirements.
● Interface with Google to contribute the developed software back to AOSP.
● Continuously grow towards becoming globally recognized and the principal engineer of the Globalization/Internationalization team.
● Technically lead and evolve a team, hands-on.
● Keep up to date with the Android Framework state-of-art and provide internationalization solutions on top of it.
● Identify and understand problems from a global user's perspective.
● Quickly prototype ideas / solutions and perform critical analysis by applying creative approaches for solving complex problems.
● Communicate status, discuss project plans and schedules with the stakeholders and the development team on a regular basis.

Basic Qualification
● Degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering or similar areas
● 5+ years experience in software development with extensive knowledge of Java Programming language
● Solid experience on Android Framework and User Interface development
● Willingness to continuously grow knowledge and improve skills aiming at becoming a globally recognized technical reference (subject matter expert) in Android Internationalization.
● Deep curiosity for multicultural, multilingual environment
● Excellent written and oral communication skills in both Portuguese and English.
● Quick learner with strong problem-solving skills.
● Teamwork, collaboration, and sharing are key.
● Be self-directed, results-oriented, and able to quickly adapt to changes.
● Experience working in a demanding environment under an accelerated product life cycle.
● Good multitasking and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications
● Master in Computer Science/Computer Engineering or similar areas 
● Understanding of Kotlin programming language.
● Comfortable with Android Studio and Agile Processes.
● Experience in Android Apps native software development.
● Familiarity with Git, Gerrit, and Jira.
● Knowledge of common internationalization (i18n) standards
● Knowledge of Restful API design
● Passionate about innovation, discovery and willing to take risks.
● Proven strategic thinking and planning skills.
