Android Framework Advisory Software Engineer

Role and team description
Brazil Core Product Development is a group dedicated to design and create a state of the art software products to empower Lenovo/Motorola mobile devices. The team objective is to develop best-­in-­class software systems that make the end users' experiences delightful and solid. In order to do so, the team in Brazil collaborates with all other software groups worldwide on key software development spanning embedded software such as Android framework and applications including Motorola differentiated experiences, cloud services, quality assurance, and the enhancement of development techniques and tools.
This particular position is to technically work on the development of the Android Framework (SDK internals) software layer, the heart of Android which is the most widely used smartphone operating system in the world. 
The product of this work will board Motorola smartphones worldwide, including the iconic Moto G device family, reaching millions of customers.
Motorola is a Lenovo company, responsible for the mobile devices business. This is a position based in Motorola Jaguariúna-SP site.

Responsibilities 
- Continuously grow towards becoming globally recognized and the principal engineer of an Android Framework development team.
- Technically lead and evolve a team, hands-on.
- Keep up to date with the Android Framework state-of-art and develop software on top of it.
- Analyze and discuss software requirements with stakeholders to define the best approach for software development.
- Interface with Google to contribute the developed software back to AOSP.
- Constantly improve the team's operational efficiency by innovating processes and tools.
- Communicate status, discuss project plans and schedules with the stakeholders and the development team on a regular basis.

Requirements
- Willingness to continuously grow knowledge and improve skills aiming at becoming a globally recognized technical reference (subject matter expert) in Android Framework.
- B.S./M.S in Computer Science/Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a similar area.
- 10+ Years of software development experience.
- Java, C++, Git
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in both Portuguese and English.
- Quick learner with strong problem-solving skills.
- Teamwork, collaboration, and sharing are key.
- Be self-directed, results-oriented, and able to quickly adapt to changes.
- Experience working in a demanding environment under an accelerated product life cycle

Preferred Qualifications 
- Knowledge of Android Framework.
- Experience in Android Apps native software development
- C and Kotlin programming languages.
