Description and Requirements

Position Description:

Lenovo is currently seeking an experienced Asia Pacific Manufacturing Services Business Development Manager.  As a Global Accounts Manufacturing Business Development Manager you will be responsible for selling an expanding services and solutions portfolio to end user global customers across Asia Pacific.    Successful candidates will work with Lenovo’s Industry Solutions team and technical organization to own E2E sales engagement for customers.  Candidate will also evaluate customer opportunities as presented in, RFPs/RFQs or engagements, from the Services and Hardware Sales teams and use this information to managed the E2E sales engagement process to ensure we meet the customer’s requirements. Lenovo solutions can include Services, Hardware, Software, Security, ISVs and additional 3rd Party Services from Global System Integrators and Lenovo Business partners.

This is a client facing sales role requiring deep Manufacturing industry sales experience, the ability to identify, cultivate, and close net new business, and expertise working large deals at the C Level.  We are looking for an acquisition seller with a proven track record to take their career and our Manufacturing Solutions practice to the next level.

- Attain revenue and margin goals through driving new business and evangelizing Lenovo’s ever-expanding portfolio of services and solutions

- Demonstrate the ability to take initiative and provide leadership in a growing business.

-Drive the voice of the customer within services for manufacturing solution needs
- Partner across multiple organizations including, but not limited to, sales; finance; service delivery; customers and business partners and lead all elements of the services sales cycle

- - Develop, implement, and execute an effective sales strategy to achieve sales goals

- Develop C level relationships and serve as a trusted consultant to customers 

-Understand and adapt to Lenovo’s ongoing product and services developments 

-Lead a cross-functional team within the company to keep deals moving through the funnel 

-Ensure that our customers receive world-class sales and customer service 

-Define framework to manage long term strategy & forecasting by effectively and consistently use Microsoft Dynamics and other reporting tools to track key sales metrics and consistently meet those metrics 


Position Requirements:

- 10+ years of Manufacturing Industry Sales Experience in serving specific Manufacturing Industry Segments:

- Operational Technology

- Supply Chain

- IT/OT Integration

- Solution selling experience in designing solutions for customer needs, SOW creation, Business Development, Professional Services, Project Management and/or IT Services operations.
- Preference will be given to candidates:
- Who have a comprehensive understanding of IT client infrastructures, application architecture associated hardware deployment practices and have the ability to generate and communicate associated services value propositions.

- Strong understanding of Manufacturing and Supply Chain practices

- Manufacturing ISV and ecosystem partnership experience- Understand Manufacturing Industry challenges and goals for transformation.
- Proven success in selling Manufacturing and/or Supply Chain solutions in the IT services industry for F500 companies
- Strategic mindset and sound business acumen are required, along with effective decision making, contract negotiation and partner management skills
- Excellent communication in English, both oral and written, and polished presentation skills
- Strong prioritization skills, attention to detail, commitment to deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel
- Proven ability to operate with a high level of professionalism; entrepreneurialism and agility
- Demonstrated ability to work across all levels of the organization with a teaming attitude
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or equivalent experience required
- Travel estimated at 40%
-Fluent in Japanese and business English
-Must currently reside in Japan
