Description and Requirements

The Lenovo IT team is looking for a talented Technical Product analyst to work closely with Agile/Scrum development teams in support as a Service IT product line. This position is ideal for a self-motivated individual with IT system development or engineering experience in addition to product analyst experience. 

Successful candidates will have a strong technical background but also a desire to provide clear directions, descriptions, and functional requirements for product features to facilitate easy comprehension by the development team. You will own the day-to-day details of the product backlog including prioritizing user stories, tasks, and defects. You will work closely with a cross-functional team (including the Business team, Digital transformation team, and IT product team) to coordinate product release efforts and announcements. 

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Work closely with product managers, development teams, and senior leadership to create and maintain a product backlog according to business values, objectives, and feature ROI. 
  • Plan and prioritize backlogs, assist with product vision, roadmap, and growth opportunities, and driving innovation initiatives. 
  • Work closely with Scrum Masters to coordinate and lead product teams through ongoing Agile/Scrum activities and Sprint ceremonies. 
  • Actively participate as an integral team member and influencer in Sprint ceremonies. 
  • Document product requirements, user stories, defects, and other artifacts as needed in support of Agile product delivery by providing detailed acceptance criteria, descriptions, and definitions and answering questions when additional clarification is needed. 
  • Ensure that the product team has adequate tasks groomed and ready to pull into development. 
  • Assess value, develop cases, and prioritize stories, epics and themes to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value that are aligned with the product strategy and quality. 
  • Support Digital transformation team on product release planning, coordination, and training including documentation updates and coordinating education and training for the business team.
  • Assist Enterprise Architecture team as needed with IT research, industry trends, IT platform analysis, user behavior research and the maintenance of both tactical and strategic roadmaps. 
  • Stay educated and informed about the latest developments and trends in Agile/Scrum/EaaS best practices. 
  • Conduct bug scrum meetings to evaluate, estimate, and assign defects to development teams.
  • Verify completion of new features and their readiness to release. 
  • Use various customer feedback channels to continually drive customer-driven enhancements into products. 
  • Work closely with sales, support, and engineers to assist in managing and resolving customer escalations and technical issue as needed. 

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in CS, CE, EE, or related field.
  • 1+ year experience with Agile/Scrum software development methodology including managing product backlogs (Epics, Stories, Tasks, and Defects) in a fast-paced development environment.
  • Bilingual in English and Chinese.

 Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Pursuing master’s degree in business management or related field.
  • Understand the Sales and Marketing Business process design and optimization.
  • Previous experience with subscription service or finance leasing business background.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate software projects across multiple engineering teams 
  • Jira and Confluence experience
