Description and Requirements

  • bid manager is an executive role within an organization, responsible for managing bids generally in response to request for proposals (RFPs) from customers, but also as proactive pursuits for business. Bid managers orchestrate the creation of the solution and proposal ensuring compliance with customer requirements while highlighting company value proposition. The role of a bid manager often works with company executives to bring and deliver strategic approaches to win bids.
  • Specific Tasks in Lenovo LA ISG:
    • Oversee the entire bidding process by executing Daily Checkpoints and managing a ToDo List with Due dates by workstream.
      Generate a space to promote the interaction between the different areas: product, pre-sales, sales, services, legal, taxes, finance/pricing, alliances, GSC.
    • Manage a repository of all the bid information to be more resilient if someone is not available or if the information is lost.
    • Generate Executive Meeting to process the pricing approval or the recommendation of NoBID.
    • Ensure the smooth execution of all the parts of the RFP presentation including optimizations on time.
    • Reuse knowledge from previous deals.
    • Execute  the Win/Lost Process and future update of historic repositories.
