Description and Requirements

Lenovo's research and development focus in key areas such as -

As a BDM, you will identify new customer/opportunities in the region and work closely with Solution Architect to develop solutions across industry verticals. Check out key responsibilities for the role below.

Key Responsibilities 

1. Market Research & Strategy Development, especially in smart energy/manufacturing/transportation/natural resource sectors:
  • Identify and analyze key market trends and potential opportunities in Hongkong, Southeast Asia and the Middle East.
  • Develop and refine strategies for entering and expanding in these markets.
2. Relationship Management:
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key customers, partners, stakeholders, and local government entities.
  • Attend relevant trade shows, conferences, and industry events to build and maintain Lenovo's network and presence.
3. Sales & Negotiation:
  • Engage potential customers and partners to present our solutions and value proposition to facilitate their digitalization process.
  • Work closely with the Solution Architect to ensure the company's offerings match client needs.
  • Formulate sales plans according to established tasks, visit plans, develop new customers, and complete sales goals on a quarterly basis.
4. Collaboration:
  • Work closely with the R&D team in China to gain comprehensive product knowledge and to communicate market feedback for potential improvements.
  • Collaborate with the Solution Architect to ensure seamless solution deployment and integration.
5. Performance Metrics & Reporting:
  • Set, monitor, and report on sales targets and performance metrics.
  • Provide regular market feedback to senior management to assist in strategy refinement.
  • Five (5) plus years of direct sales experience with major customers in energy/manufacturing/transportation industries, of which 3+ years of experience in complex solutions sales for large-scale enterprises. Familiar with at least one industry, with more than 3 successful customer cases of $10M levels. Those with large-scale IT sys (ERP, SCM, SRM, CRM), AI sys (Computer Vision, Big Data), or Automation sys (Robotics, Digital Twin) are preferred.
  • Possess consultative sales ability, can independently conduct product and solution presentations, and have solid user demand mining, demand guidance, and full-process control capabilities for solution projects.
  • Excellent personal qualities, including integrity, strong self-motivation, resilience and empathy etc.
  • Outstanding soft skills, including communication and coordination skills, entrepreneurial thinking mode and decision-making skills, etc.
  • Have a certain understanding of new technologies, such as computer vision, robotics, Cloud, IOT, IT platforms, etc.
  • Proficient in English, Mandarin and Cantonese. Preferably one or more languages relevant to Southeast Asia or the Middle East.
  • Ability to travel frequently.
  • Bachelor's degree majored in CS, ME, EE and other related areas, a plus with minor in business disciplines. Master's degree preferred.
