Description and Requirements
Internet Services Commercialization, Engagement and Growth
We're looking for a driven individual with an entrepreneurial spirit that has experience managing and delivering commercial software to customers and to provide solutions based on consumer insight and data.
Scope of role:
• Partner with business development, sales, marketing
• Advocate for improving/enhancing existing capabilities where appropriate
• Develop value proposition, product positioning, target customer definition, key selling points and features and benefits prioritization for Motorola smartphones
• Design market intelligence/research to analyze trends, competitive offerings, market segmentation, customer needs, features and benefit tradeoffs, etc.
Resolve complex and detailed issues by evaluating information from several sources of information (both internal and external), including customers.
• Contribute to the development of product launch strategy and go-to-market plans
• Provide oversight for new products and define strategies to engage users
• Monitor user feedback and make sure to address complaints always driving the best customer experience
Representative Responsibilities:
• Focus on business opportunities sourcing and sales.
• As a subject matter expert, provide program development, planning, guidance and support to ensure that business objectives are met
• Employ new concepts which have a significant influence on problems or issues which impact assigned accounts or programs
• Develop or lead program strategies, procedures, plans, and processes that ultimately have an impact on the Internet Services function
• Define objectives for a specific Internet Services business concept or project; conduct special projects to meet these objectives
• Use subject matter expertise to provide ongoing technical/operational guidance to other professionals and directly influence contacts outside own department or function
• May present Lenovo's global capabilities to customers; may provide advice to sales reps on how to sell Lenovo's global capabilities; may provide executable solutions for customer's global footprint
• Lead the development and interpretation of business plans based on metrics of actual results against expectations; measure and analyze volumes and revenues for brand, industry and geography
• Conduct business analysis and decision support by proficiently utilizing reporting systems, including forecasting, budgeting/ resource planning, pricing & contracts, and sales execution reporting
• Provide general direction and support to all support organizations (e.g. pricing, legal, business practices, etc.) on internet services operations and related issues
Interactions:
• Negotiates all aspects of several complex projects with management and members of the sales operations function; obtain agreement concerning the implementation of all sales operations activities and field Sales team requirements (including internal and external selling resources).
• Build effective organization networks by navigating independently among field Sales teams and Marketing functions
Problem Solving:
• Recognize and articulate complex problems related to customer requirements
• Apply creativity and judgment in developing of multiple solutions related to customer-related issues
• Challenges the validity of given procedures and processes with a view toward enhancement or improvement, where appropriate
• Analyze problems and create solutions involving finance, technology, methodology, and tools
• 8 years of relevant work experience
• People manager roles typically require a minimum of 1 year of management experience
Basic Qualifications:
• Minimum 8+ years of full-time relevant work experience with bachelor's degree or above
• 1+ year of relevant working experience in mobile OEM (Internet services, Commercialization, Engagement and Growth, etc.)
• Experience driving business & engagement
• Experience using big data to drive business decisions, analytics tracking and insight generation
• Experience in program management
• Experience in consumer engagement in digital channels and digital services
• Excellent communication and collaboration
