Description and Requirements

As a Cloud Service Provider (CSP) Field Application Engineer (FAE) for Lenovo, you will be a part of a fast-paced, high-profile team calling on the world’s largest IT buyers. We are seeking an experienced engineer to support our hyperscale datacenter customers and drive sales of our products and services. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in datacenter infrastructure and a proven history of success in sales.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with Lenovo Account Executives & Inside Sales Reps supplying technical support
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and developments in the hyperscale datacenter market
  • Perform training and education to customers on our products and services
  • Develop deep technical relationships with our customers to serve as a trusted consultant
  • Work closely with our engineering teams to develop & deliver customized customer solutions
  • Assist the Sales team in developing a sales strategy for winning new accounts
  • Achieve revenue and profitability goals for Lenovo by driving sales with key customers

Required qualifications:

  • BS degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
  • 7+ years of successful technology sales required
  • Deep knowledge of x86 computing technology trends
  • Strong understanding of datacenter infrastructure, including networking, storage, & computing

Preferred qualifications:
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
  • Proven ability to develop strategies to penetrate and sell to large companies
  • Travel to any or all customer sites when appropriate
  • Demonstrated a history of top performance with million-dollar quotas

The base salary range budgeted  for this position is $ 168,000 - $ 226,400 USD. Individuals may also be considered for bonus and/or commission. Lenovo’s various benefits can be found on www.lenovobenefits.com.
