Who You’ll Work With:
We manufacture one of the world’s most extensive portfolios of connected products, including: Data Centre, PCs, tablets, smartphones, and workstations; as well as augmented and virtual reality, smart home office solutions, software, and services. In this role you will directly support one of our largest National Sales Partners, and have a responsibility over the full scope of Lenovo's technology solutions.

Lenovo is looking for an experienced Inside sales professional to join our Channel sales team covering Insight Canada. This position would be focused primarily on developing the sales and services capability of this National Partner. The position requires occasional travel to Partner field offices and meeting with their leadership and sales teams. The position also requires input and participation in Quarterly Business Reviews and development of annual plans. The goal is to increase Lenovo's Share of Wallet within this Partner by educating and training their sellers on our full suite of products and services, and proactively building sales initiatives in order to grow Partner customer base.   
Candidate should live in/around Montreal or Toronto and be able to travel to Insight office on regular basis, and occasional travel to Lenovo local office.

Below is a list of key activities and skills that this candidate would need to possess strong proficiency in: 

  • New end user sales generation.
  • Daily engagement with Key Account sales & product marketing organizations. 
  • Driving opportunities to expand Lenovo's business in all segments and solutions along with building strong relationships between our collective end-user sales teams. 
  • Managing weekly pipeline opportunities with the Insight sales team.
  • Building key strategic relationships with sales leaders from GM on down and interlocking with them on selling strategies.  Motivation of both Lenovo and Partner sales and sales support teams to positively impact outcomes.  
  • Willing to travel to other locations to build same level of engagement 
  • Present to customers on behalf of Lenovo and Partner and drive the rest of the team to do same.  

Marketing Activities:  

  • Create new ideas on how Lenovo can maximize our ROI.
  • Provide valuable inputs to quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and to be forward looking so we can focus on what is working and what is not. 
  • Work with extended teams at Lenovo and Partner to create quarterly Go to Market plans in each of the segments
  • Create event schedules that can be communicated out to the sales force.  


  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 
  • Presentation skills for both partner and customer 
  • Manager/Director level communication on regular basis 
  • Polished and effective in conveying a message.  
  • Must communicate across functions and teams to deliver simple effective messages

Financial Management:

  • Manage a budget and communicate/collaborate with Partner as required. 
  • Understand and leverage key sales programs and communicate with Partner on these. 
  • Engage appropriate Lenovo teams where necessary to own key relationships with Partner


  • Have a strong understanding of Lenovo internal tools and processes in order to facilitate an easy partnership with Insight Canada.

Basic Requirements:

  • At least 5years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • Proven track record of sales growth and execution with the ability to forecast and manage business performance and results
Preferred Requirements:
  • Highly adept at fostering collaboration among sales, business operations, marketing, finance, strategy and product development to enable ideas to be efficiently executed 
  • Employs innovative and creative thinking to solve business problems with non-traditional solutions 
  • Create own business models/analysis and articulate optimal ROI/strategy internally and externally 
  • Strong communication, attention to detail and leadership skills to support across all levels of management 
  • Experience with technical teams, marketing and business operations functions of our customer base 
  • Demonstrated negotiation expert; possesses ability to anticipate next move
