Description and Requirements

As a member of our dynamic and high-performing Workstation and Channel Sales team you will work with alongside our Partner Account Managers to drive our Workstation business within our Partners. With over 95% of Lenovo’s B2B business moving through the Channel, this role is extremely important and critical to our success! The main purpose is to grow Lenovo Workstation business with the partners and deliver profitable growth.

You will work extensively with our; Workstation Technologist, Channel Sales Team, Marketing and EMEA Product Management Teams to develop a winning go to market strategy. You will be a member of our Workstation team, reporting to the Workstation Leader and importantly be able to leverage their Workstation knowledge and expertise, you don’t need to be a Workstation expert! We are looking for someone with strong Channel experience.

Key Areas of responsibility:

  • Identify and prioritise opportunities in the market to develop the workstation business
  • Interact with the Workstation EMEA and local team to get insights on our competitive position
  • Establish ‘trusted advisor’ status with new and existing customers and Partners. Identify the right route to market and get management support to drive sales to these routes
  • Identify (Acquire) and develop (Grow) Workstation channel partners to address market needs and support Lenovo expansion in this solution offering
  • Develop with the channel team the right Go To Market plan, channel expansion program (including TeleSales to end-users or Business Partners)
  • Drive the usage by partners of our tools and processes (bid portal, CTO tool, …)
  • Build action plans with each segment leader to develop our share of wallet
  • Interface with Marketing to have the right marketing mix in place at regional level
  • Owning the Partner Programme & Ownership of key channel business metrics (Aged Inventory, WOI, GP, MS)
  • Build relationships via online and face to face partner visitation
  • Deliver updates/reviews in-line with quarterly/weekly sales and forecasting cadence
  • Create material to grow the understanding and capability of the Channel sales community
  • Contribute towards Joint Business Planning to maximise share within key strategic partners and influence within Quarterly Business Reviews We are looking for a proven, highly motivated, and successful business development manager

Position Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5+ years experience in Business Development or Partner Account manager role in the IT industry
  • Proven track record in sales of volume products (preferably PC’s)
  • Understanding of a Channel Sales Model
  • Track of record in building and executing joint business plans
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong customer presentation skills both face to face and online
  • Collaborative
  • Able to align people and influence decision making, effectively working in a matrix environment
