Description and Requirements

The Cloud and Software AI Architecture team evaluates and defines new technology for use in Lenovo software solutions.  The intern will work closely with Solution Architects to help evaluate and test new AI technologies and AI models.

Job Responsibilites:

  • Assist Solution Architects in designing, implementing, and evaluating experiments testing new AI technologies and models.
  • Help interact with Large Language Models (LLMs) and other AI-powered tools to gather data and analyze results.
  • Create basic reports comparing the performance of different AI solutions against set criteria and benchmarks.
  • Learn about and assist in using programming languages such as Python to develop scripts and tools for data analysis and reporting.
  • Develop basic understanding of spreadsheet software (e.g. Excel, Google Sheets) and presentation tools (e.g.PowerPoint).
  • Participate in regular team meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and ideas.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Pursuing or recently completed a degree in quantitative filed such as Mathematics, statistics, computer science, computer engineering, or a related field
  • Previous experience with coding or programming languages such as Python or JavaScript
  • Experience working with AI LLMs (ChatGPT, Cluade, Rest Calls)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in using Windows PCs
  • Programming skills (ideally Python)
  • Familiarity with spreadsheet software (e.g. Excel, Google Sheets) and presentation tools (e.g. PowerPoint)
  • Experience working with Local LLMs (Ollama, LM Studio)
  • Basic data analysis concepts and statistical measures
