Description and Requirements

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Communications Director to lead our communications efforts in developing and disseminating messaging around one of Lenovo's strategic business units. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in crafting compelling narratives, collaborating cross-functionally, and managing communication programs both internally and externally. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with global marketing, product, design, user experience, corporate and local communications teams, as well as external partners, to ensure alignment and implementation of our communications strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop leadership messaging around Lenovo’s strategy and portfolio.
  2. Collaborate with functional teams including global marketing, product, design, user experience, corporate and local communications teams, as well as external partners, to align and implement communications strategy and messaging.
  3. Create content to engage with external and internal audiences on key solutions, interpreting complex concepts into succinct and memorable narratives in all forms of written communications.
  4. Partner with creative teams to develop compelling visual content that supports key messaging.
  5. Motivate, inspire, and manage external agency partners to ensure the successful execution of communication initiatives.
  6. Collaborate with regional and local communications and marketing teams on global media outreach, including thought leadership, solution launches, and executive media.
  7. Design, develop, and implement executive and internal communications programs on strategic topics to ensure alignment and engagement across the organization.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in communications, with a focus on strategic messaging, content creation, and program management.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Global Experience developing content.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful communications strategies in a global organization.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex concepts into clear and compelling messaging.
  • Experience managing agency relationships and collaborating with creative teams to develop visual content.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.


The base salary range budgeted for this position is $170,000 - $200,000. Individuals may also be considered for bonuses and/or commissions. Lenovo’s various benefits can be found at www.lenovobenefits.com.
