Description and Requirements

  • Lead employee and executive communications supporting Global HR programs and “Great Place to Work” narrative targeted to Global, English speaking audience.
    • Proactively develop strategic communications plans and messaging in support of all global HR activities and programs, ie. Benefits Communications, Lenovo Listens, Workplace Culture, Employee Value Proposition, Lenovo Epidemic Prevention Control Committee etc.
    • Drive consistent narrative around “Great Place to Work” elements to build positive workplace reputation for internal and external audiences
    • Develop and create all Global leadership communications for SVP of Human Resources, ie. intranet stories, emails, talking points, speeches, scripts, organization announcements, social media posts and ppt presentations.
    • Support HR for HR Communications needs including the development of a quarterly newsletter and assisting with periodic all-hands meetings
    • Review, approve and distribute pre-drafted communications created by various HR teams such as D&I, Employee Resource Groups, & Training. Ensure adherence to brand standards and accuracy of information, and strategic alignment to wider communications activities across the company
    • Drive awareness of Lenovo culture by managing weekly “We are Lenovo” storytelling program; interview selected culture champions and craft relevant and compelling stories for internal and external audiences
    • Develop efficient and collaborative processes to drive cross-team alignment on all HR communications.
    • Utilize data and insights to measure communication effectiveness and identify communications needs and opportunities
    • Build “trusted advisor” relationship by providing ongoing strategic counsel and advisement to HR leadership and practitioners to achieve measurable results.  
    • Review, edit and approve pre-drafted ad-hoc communications created by various HR teams and handle communication to employees as needed; D&I, ERG’s, Training etc.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal and written English communications skills with proven ability to develop and write compelling stories and content with creativity, speed and style.
  • 5-7+ years of experience working in PR or Employee Communications role, preferable experience working in or with technology companies.
  • Ability to proactively create compelling stories that drives deep employee interest and engagement.
  • Ability to develop clear and concise HR communications materials that informs and educates employees on the tangible benefits of working at Lenovo.
  • Prior experience handling HR and organizational communications is a plus.
  • Outstanding interpersonal communications skills, as well as strong executive presence with the highest levels of an organization. Must have prior experience developing communications for senior leadership executives.
  • Ability to develop cohesive communications plans and execute from strategy through hands-on execution and then measure results.
  • Proven experience working in a complex global/matrixed organization
  • Advanced proficiency with PowerPoint, Word and Excel. Working in SharePoint is a plus.
  • Candidate must have superb collaboration skills and experience working in a dynamic, ever changing, business environment across multiple time zones
  • Experience in a multi-national organization strongly preferred and cultural awareness of the global landscape is essential. Must have the ability to develop strong working relationships with communications peers in other locations worldwide.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
