Description and Requirements

The Lenovo SMB Marketing organization is looking for an experienced Content Strategist to join our global team. The Content Strategist is a key player in constructing a cohesive content strategy with a focus on user or consumer journey and persona development. Working with internal and external collaborators, you will plan, oversee and execute the strategy from start to end. Supported by creative and editorial resources, you will be responsible for aligning our brand narratives and business objectives with the team’s content strategies. As a senior member of the global SMB team, you will be at the forefront of our transformational efforts strengthening Lenovo’s position as an end-to-end solutions provider for SMBs.

RESPONSIBILITIES

* Partner with the Marketing Insights team to cultivate a deep understanding of our audience segments and customer decision journey
* Working with the business, define SMB product and solution positioning with supporting messaging framework
* Develop and maintain the SMB target audience framework, value proposition, and messaging strategy, ensuring all produced content clearly aligns
* Partner with marketing teams and agencies to plan for and write engaging marketing content targeted at key customer personas and supporting an omni-channel decision journey
* Conduct content audits and create editorial plans with marketing teams to provide the most relevant content for our audiences
* Collaborate with data analysts, segment strategist, and campaign teams to identify clear goals for marketing content
* Measure the content effectiveness against defined goals and provide optimization recommendations
* Apply your unique skills and insights to build a deeper internal understanding of our customer’s needs and Lenovo’s value offering
* Be an ambassador for the Lenovo brand and voice; develop guidelines and brief supporting teams and partner agencies on audience personas, value proposition, and messaging frameworks
* Stay current on customer, industry, and competitive trends to identify trends and anticipate consumer needs.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
* Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, advertising, journalism, or related field
* A minimum of five years of experience as a content manager, writer, or editor
* Proven content strategy and project management experience
* Demonstrated creativity and design sensibility; the ideal candidate will provide examples across a variety of formats (i.e. articles, infographics, social posts, multimedia presentations)
* Sound knowledge of content management systems, keyword research tools, and social and digital media platforms
* Ability to multitask with multiple deadlines, manage time effectively, establish priorities, and communicate expectations to stakeholders
* Ability to understand and simplify complex information
* Ability to work with others in a highly collaborative work environment
* Effective and persuasive communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience writing marketing content for technology companies
* Global experience (beyond North America) and additional language skills
